Our dear friend and beam of light turns FORTY today and we are so grateful to share life, the stage and lots of laughs with @sukiakattack!

Caley is equal parts kind, unique, hilarious, beautiful, talented and brilliant; to know her is to adore her. She’s easy to talk to, easy to be around, easy to LOVE.

This last month has been filled to the brim with core memory making moments!

I released my debut album.

I had a fantastic release party with the best band and @Success5000YEG opening.

I turned forty.

I celebrated my best friend’s marriage to a lovely man.

I filmed a commercial in Calgary.

I appeared LIVE at a variety of events around Edmonton and collaborated on @NathanielSuttonMusic’s recent music release, 1995.

I got to spend many quiet moments at home with my sweet fella and my cute and curious little dog; the loves of my life.

Life’s been really great lately! I feel right at home where I am.

Thanks to everybody who has listened to Pushing Forty, the LP so far.

Here’s to whatever summer has in store.

Still levitating after a beautiful PUSHING FORTY album release show yesterday!

To be in a room, surrounded by all the folks who routinely support and care for me, and to be able to share my heart, my soul, my art with those people? That’s the stuff that dreams are made of!

Thanks to @Aviary.Edmonton for hosting us; your hospitality, attention to detail and care for artists are genuinely appreciated. The sound by @DylanElla.jpg was impeccable!

Thanks to @Success5000YEG for being the perfect opener; you brought your talent, your mischief and your genuinely catchy tunes to the stage and it felt like the perfect pairing for the afternoon!

Thanks to the band; @JenniPlease, @VickyMBerg, @BiboyeOnanuga and @ItsGarethG. Every time we play together, I am floored by your collective kindness and excellence. I hope we find more opportunities to play together LIVE in the coming months as Pushing Forty takes off.

Thanks to all the others who supported and took part in the event; I consider myself beyond blessed to have so many big hearted, fantastic humans who buoy me up on the regular and inspire me with their own acts of bravery, compassion and heroism.

If you’ve had a chance to listen to the album since its release on Friday, I also thank you.

Pushing Forty is in its infancy, and I couldn’t be prouder of what this body of work has accomplished since it met the world this past Friday.

You can stream it wherever you find your tunes and inject these rainy days ahead with some much welcome good vibes!
