Eight days aboard the Excel, and once again this trip reminded me that long-range fishing is about so much more than just the fish. The fishing was fantastic, the food was absolutely next level, and the crew is simply one of the best in the business. These guys are consummate professionals who work incredibly hard from the moment we leave the dock until the moment we return. Whether they're putting us on fish, helping at the rail, keeping the boat running, or serving up five-star cuisine from the galley, they make the entire experience what it is. None of the images from this trip happen without the people behind them. Huge thanks to Jason Gross and Justin Fleck for having me aboard and giving me the opportunity to document another incredible eight days on the Excel. Great fishing. Incredible food. An amazing crew. And a whole lot of moments worth remembering. Marty Jimenez is one of the first pro skateboarders to move to Huntington Beach. He took the trip from Ohio with Bryan Ridgeway, he was working with and riding with Madrid skateboards before switching over to Vision. At Vision he wasn’t just skating Pro for the brand but also had a hand in the art department. Marty created many great graphics! I was super stoked to see him skatin with John Lucero and Riky at the PO Curb and at Pelican curbs in 80’s. He also built ramps in other yards or had ramps in his backyard adding to the skate scene in HB. Aaron is a great skateboarder, earlier on very progressing on street and ramp. I first met him through Skip Pronier as they were good friends and skated together a lot. In High School Aaron had a VW bus and we would all pile in and hit different skate spots. He was one of our friends to get the first corporate sponsor NHS, Santa Cruz, independent trucks, OJ Speed Wheels. Thanks for all the rides Aaron, you rule! @sk8devine 📸 @rickkosick 📸 @sulliphotoz
