When I tell you this past Saturday we had a ball golfing with friends at Grand Oaks Golf Club in Grand Prairie, please believe it! 😂 (language disclaimer)
It was a crispy (and quite windy) 58 degrees and clearly my propensity to have hot flashes tricked me into thinking I’d eventually warm up. Well, I didn’t. Even with our Fireball surprise courtesy of @summer_galvez (so sweet, thanks again for that!) And yeah, I took two lessons last week and still swung in slow motion with broke legs…BUT, I had fun! So if your comment doesn’t pass the vibe check, I’m deleting it…with love. The swing will come, I’m not worried about that…enjoying life on the golf course has become my vice dealing with tremendous grief. Too bad it’s about to be too cold to play…Simulators, anyone??? ⛳️🏌🏽‍♀️#golfingthroughgrief #golfgirls #friendswhogolf

Yesterday I got a chance to play my first golf tournament, Fairways to Foster at the Golf Club of Dallas. It was so much fun and the weather turned out great after a day of storms. I played with the @concorddallas team invited by my fellow golf girlie @summer_galvez. We came in 🥉 place and I am so proud to be a part of the team! Ready for what’s next!! ⛳️🏌🏽‍♀️ #fairwaystofoster #golfgirls

Somebody reminded me that I walked across my last stage for my law school hooding 10 years ago this week. Law school was my version of an (early) midlife crisis. I woke up one day and realized something needed to shift drastically if I was going to be able to give Bailey the opportunities she deserved. So I registered for the LSAT during my off period the next day, sat for that exam 3 weeks later, and walked into the lobby at Thurgood Marshall School of Law 6 months after that.

Today, (in the middle of the hot ass Houston afternoon) I watched Bailey and her friends line dance and pose for photos during Senior Step Up. Talk about a full circle moment. I can’t believe she’ll be graduating next spring, but I’m so excited to see where life takes her. In the meantime, I’m enjoying the freedom and privilege to watch her chart her own journey.

About Yesterday..
After a very long Friday night/Saturday morning, we found ourselves going from one job to the very next. And I mean that literally. We stopped to shower and grab more food, but that was it.. And for a slight second, “thought” about canceling. But NEVER!! We signed up for this, and we’re built for this. Pulling up to Opening Day, gave us reassurance that we made the right choice of our Saturday options. Aside from making some great contacts, we believe a beautiful working relationship is in the works. If you aren’t already doing so, please follow @MercyStreetDallas. They are doing phenomenal work in the community. Thank you for having us, and we look forward to building with you all.

Proud Agency Post ☺️💚💙💛 #photodump of @mercystreetdallas’ @northtexasgivingday Open House.

Mercy Street’s campaign ended just shy of the $300K goal, but still incredibly grateful for the many donors, sponsors, partners, supporters, staff and students that made #ntxgivingday2024 a huge success! Thank you! 😊
