Finally checked out the hyped-up @sumucanada on Burrard Street and it 100% lived up to the Tokyo street vibes. Our table was an absolute feast! 🍢🍱
Here’s the lineup of what we demolished:
🌊 Seafood Udon – Pure comfort in a bowl. Creamy, decadent, and delicious!
🔥 Aburi Seafood Donburi – That torch-seared perfection? Unmatched.
🥓 Pork Belly Yakitori – Perfectly crispy and juicy. Soo good!
🍯 Pork Jowl Yakitori – Melt-in-your-mouth goodness with that signature Binchotan charcoal glaze.

Consider this your official sign to grab your food crew and secure a table. 10/10 will be coming back for round two! 🥢✨

Proud of this sponsorship. Proud of what’s happening. THANK YOU for this gorg sponsorship ❤️ Felix and Rudy you guys are amazing! Canada’s first cognac green tea cocktail is truly incredible and absolutely delicious. Every attendee was so excited to grab a can of Triple X.O.G. The ingredients are phenomenal: French cognac, real jasmine green tea, and local Canadian honey. Made in Vancouver! 🫶

Think of an elevated Big Way, but make it Japanese fusion 🍢✨ Tried out the new @sumucanada has a good selection of charcoal-grilled yakitori options and a build your own hotpot section ($4.19/100g) and ten house broths to choose from! Fair prices for being right in the heart of downtown.

Won't lie, @sumucanada on 888 Burrard confused me at first. They have a wide selection of Yakitori and other skewers while also sporting some Izakaya-type dishes along with Mini-Dons. Then strangest of all is the "Choose Your Own Ingredients" Hot Pot a la Big Way. Oh and they also have Bubble Tea. Quite a strange concept but for some reason, I didn't mind it. It is pretty swanky inside but the prices don't reflect that. It isn't anymore expensive than other similar spots (albeit not with everything combined). Would consider coming back if I was in Downtown with some friends.
