I’ve had the privilege of meeting many watchmakers throughout my life, but few quite like @dietrich_watches.

Here is a man who chose not to follow the traditional rules of horology, but instead created his own design language—one that feels organic, fluid, and inspired by nature.

Why follow the norm when you can create something entirely your own?

The Perception and DD-1 have been on my bucket list for quite some time, and I can finally say I’ve experienced both on the wrist. ✅

Will I ever own one? Only time will tell. But for now, I’m grateful for the experience, the conversations, and the memories I was fortunate enough to capture through my lens.

Perception and DD-1, you may leave my wrist, but never my thoughts. ❤️

All of my worlds came together at Ferraris on the Runway: Detroit. Horology, automotive, aviation, style, and community, with a meaningful cause bringing everyone together.

The evening exceeded every expectation. Incredible cars, thoughtful hospitality, and conversations that made the night memorable. Great night, even better people.

Some watches deserve more than a wrist shot.

We’re excited to welcome Sunflowerman to the Atlanta Watch Salon. A talented artist, dapper gentleman, and collector who also happens to have called Atlanta home in the past. So, bringing him back to the city that taught him about Southern Hospitality feels especially fitting.

Known for his beautiful hand-painted interpretations of watches, Sunflowerman captures the character of these little analog timepieces that sit at the center of our hobby. A different way to appreciate the details, personality, and stories behind what we collect.

He’ll be painting live at the Salon, and for those who want something truly personal, pre-orders are available directly on the registration page. He will reach out to you for the watch you’d like painted, and he’ll have it completed ahead of time and bring it to Atlanta Watch Salon for a personal delivery.

Only a limited number of pre-orders can be accommodated. If you have a watch in mind, don’t wait.

We can’t wait to see these little works of art come to life through his brush.

@windupwatchfair is always a Jam with @thewatchpreserve. Chicago is quickly becoming one of my favorite cities and the show here was bigger than ever in a new venue.

I tried my hand at painting @thedialartist x @chriswardlondon collab. The breadth of color on such tight spaces made it a challenge for sure.

@thedialartist was one of the nicest chillest guys. Whereas I’m an anxiety riddled mess, Chris was calm and hard at work. I’m remiss that I don’t have a photo Chris working live on his custom dial for the Christopher Ward showroom in Chicago.

@kyality and I had begun discussing a @sericawatches Mini back in February at WindUp Dallas. Then came WU SF and finally, by the time Chicago rolled around I was able to deliver Kyle’s custom piece.

Manon from @festina.watches was so wonderful and I’m grateful that I could paint a Festina live at WindUp.

@mikepearson6 provides about 60% of the joy for the entire watch industry. Thanks for letting me paint a custom @chriswardlondon at WindUp.

It was a @studio.underd0g show. I painted so many!! Each WindUp has a different watch company that really stands out and this time it was Studio UnderdOg.

Chicago 2024 was my first Windup. I literally just started with @wornandwound two weeks prior to that fair. It’s safe to say that this specific event is very special to me.

When looking back at the last two years, I am filled with immense pride, growth, + gratitude. I’ve immersed myself into a new and passionate community, have made phenomenal friends, + am blessed to have the opportunity to make magic happen along side the best team I’ve ever worked with. 🙏🏽✨
