Sun June’s epic oral history official begins today. Ch. 1, Pt. I: “Everyone I Knew” traces the childhoods of Laura and Stephen, growing up on opposite sides of the country—Stephen on the West Coast soaking up pop-punk, Laura absorbing classic rock in upstate New York. It’s worth a read for anyone who is a fan of Sun June, or just likes to read music biographies and oral histories. Check it out! And if you dig it and want to support my work, please consider subscribing today!

The prologue of the new Sun June oral history has arrived. Consider this an author’s note introducing the project, explaining what went into it (a year of work) and what it means to me (a whole lot). If you are excited to dive deep into this oral history, please consider subscribing today!

This morning's tracklist on What The Flock? if you were tuned in. This week's selections were guided by a recent chart reading done by @boyhowdyalex but also so many artists that have guided my journey to finding myself over the past several years. I wouldn't be who I am without their words finding me when necessary.

New Flock in two weeks probably won't be as emotional and vulnerable (but it won't be sterile either, lol), but I don't yet know I'm going with it yet.

Love you. 💙
