Energy is contagious.

Choose your friends wisely.

The people you are in closest proximity to will always have a direct impact on how you experience the world.

If you’re spending your time with people who complain you will become a complainer.

If you’re spending your time with people who look for the good in the world, you will look for the good in the world.

It’s that simple.

🖤 Mental Health Matters 🖤

I know I’m late to this, but May is mental health awareness month. This past year has been extremely hard for me, especially the past 6 months. My mental health was the lowest it has ever been and it became incredibly scary.

After working in mental health for the past 10 years, I have finally started to put myself first. It has always been easier to support others and put myself on the back burner. Everyone has been right, you can’t care for others unless you are taking care of yourself. I am doing right for the people I serve, by caring for myself.

I have spent several months feeling like a bad provider, a bad friend, a bad partner, a bad daughter and sibling. I am so thankful for the support I have had from my providers, family, and friends. It has been a really, really rough ride, but everyone has stuck by me and no one will ever truly know how grateful I am for that.

Please remember to tell the people in your life that you love them.

If you ever need help, there is support out there and there is no shame in asking🖤

Here are just a few moments over the past several months that I truly appreciate. There are so many more but I can only fit so many.

Our last meet up was so much fun! Everyone was brave and tried new things! The sudden rainstorm was a bummer. Thanks Katie for all the handholding!
