Saturday! Nightmoves will be open to the public from 3:30PM to 7:30PM to host our friends at @wearekarakterre’s Williamsburg Wine Crawl.

We’ll be joining the party, welcoming in and championing some the most exciting Central and Eastern European organic and biodynamic wine makers, featuring special pours by the glass and bottle all afternoon. We’ll have over a dozen of the winemakers present to hang, pour, and live it up with you.

In addition to a healthy flow of juice, we’ll have savory treats from @weirdough.nyc 🥨, and an array of sorbets and gelato 🍧 from our dearly beloved, @lattedanzante @unknown_accelerant. Rounding it out, @santemf will be on the decks to soundtrack a Dionysian afternoon for the books.

Major shout out to our wine director and @super_glou superstar @wonderfool for doing such a wonderful job producing the festival and all the adjacent festivities, and to @michaelvadino for the amazing graphics.

Saturday 10/24 join us for a trifecta of happiness as we celebrate the launch of our dear friend Lisa’s @brass__tacks newest book with @phaidonpress and welcome the brilliant duo Constance and Damien as they bring their restaurant @nativebonjour from Lastres Spain to C. Cassis for one day only. As though you could even handle more Jenn @super_glou and the guys of @vandal.wine.nada @les_salicaires are doing a preview tasting of their generous lively wines.

It is open to the public and we’ll do our best to save room for walk-ins, but do make a reservation from our site if you want to ensure you have a space to be. Reservations are $10 and include a welcome pour and a pintxo. Books are also available for preorder there and there will be signing plus a chance of a few surprise performances.

We cannot wait, see you there 🍷

we heard people’s knees were shaking this weekend? well when I wanna feel weak in the knees I look at all the new wine on the wall at press shop. (that’s my best attempt at relevant marketing, how did I do?) but no for real we got some new weirdy weirdos stocked up for this weekend and they’re all taste tested and staff approved 👌🏽 check ig stories for more details 😘

We love our winemakers like family because they are family.

I was able to visit just a few of my favorite people on a « harvest decompression tour » through Lombardia, Champagne and Catalunya (to clarify, I didn’t do any harvesting, I just appeared for the decompression). On balance, wine was enjoyed in moderation.

We often talk about how we can understand just as much about the wine by visiting the winemaker’s kitchen or their living room, spending time with their kids and animals, as we can by stepping foot in the cellar.

There’s the winemaker apart from the wine - their effervescence, their spirit, the pleasure of being together.

Happy 8th birthday to the restaurant I hold so near and dear to my heart! @misinewyork! I walked through your doors for the first time 8 years ago and little did I know how my life would grow in and around these walls. All of my best friends in the city, my wine career, travels to Italy and beyond, working with and for winemakers and farmers I cherish and admire, so many celebrations - new babies, engagements, birthdays, goodbyes to friends moving and always a welcome first stop when my mom lands at LGA. I gathered some of my favorite moments captured in photos here but it’s impossible to fit into just 20 slides. It’s a feeling, it’s spectacularly executed simplicity, it’s the heart and soul of each person who has spent their time working there each day. @seanbfeeney & @missyarobbins congratulations on creating a home and space to gather for so many. Cheers to 8 more years of fettucine and vino!!!

Happy Labor Day!
We enjoyed a delicious Italian treat today from @greysfinecheeses : Burrino del Molise from Arona, on the Piedmont side of Lago Maggiore. The cheese is rustic and tangy and is filled with handmade butter!

We brought it to room temperature while baking an olive oil ciabatta. The combination was divine.

Bob’s take: “the world would be more fun if more things had butter in the center!”

Indeed. We paired it with my current skin contact obsession, Holger Koch Chardonnay from Swabia, Germany.
