Mostly just enjoyed myself the past two nights in Raleigh, with no intentions of “making content,”but couldn’t help cutting up a little something of one of my all-time faves, and NC legends as far as I’m concerned, @kooleyhighnc. Been attending, enjoying, and filming these guys’ shows since I was in college, and not stopping now. More post-Hop thoughts later. For now, sleep.

09/10/2026: “the trilogy”

Super Empty and The Genius Party put together a dope summer series, and this was a helluva finale🔥

sets by Altair Kareem, Nikias, Vandy Preem and 9OFHEARTS had @shadowbox_studio beyond hype, and the open aux let some talented artists in the building flex their skills and even tease some unreleased music! a great time all around, tbh🤞🏾

missed this one? keep an eye on the @superemptync and @thegeniuspartync instagrams — and check the SE events calendar!

Shouts to Ryan at @superemptync and @indyweek for the write up about the Language Barrier at 10 celebration kicking off @dukearts 26-27 season on September 17th. Grateful to be revisiting this album (10 years later 🥹) with a cast of collaborators old and new! Also, I been written up in The Indy 121 times?!? Must’ve been some slow news days 😩

And a slight correction: I have not won an Emmy or a Peabody for my personal work. That accolade belongs to the team behind A Chef’s Life, @chefandthef and @pink_hill and @markaymedia , a team I am proud to have been a part of.

Yall check out the article and get your tix to #LB10 at the link in my bio! This’ll be a one night only event. Your presence will make it unforgettable 🙏🏾🩷🙏🏾
