🎉 It’s my 1 year bookstaversary on @hijabi.booknook 🎉

#QOTD: How long have you been on bookstagram?

I have technically been on Bookstagram since 2020 but had a different account then. I love Bookstagram so much and am so grateful for all 1.5K+ of you! Thank you so much for your support! 🫶🏻💕🥰

📝Here’s some pictures of my favourite book of 2026 so far. This is the Illumicrate edition of The Poet Empress by Shen Tao.

📚If you follow me you know my favourite genre is fantasy but that I’m also a huge mood reader and go through phases of reading different genres at a time. I’m currently in a literary fiction mood. I do also read historical fiction and sometimes classics, contemporary or romance books.

🥰Also wanted to feature some of my favourite accounts. There’s so many I love and I wasn’t able to include everyone! 💕

And... in a blink of an eye, weekend 1 of SWF is over 😭 have had several meaningful connections and chats over this weekend, thank youu @sgwritersfest for providing such a great platform for readers and curious thinkers every year. Lovely meeting and attending talks from @kuangrf @amberwrites88 @heymysara @elliemarney, @chenghim, @littleredtomato

Amidst the chaos of R.F. Kuang’s book signing yesterday, the Singapore Writers Festival reminded me why I love this community so much. It's a space where we can celebrate our shared love for stories, words, ideas... and fictional characters. Various authors have shaped our reading preferences, and some even the impetus of our reading journey, and the concept of book signing or meeting thinkers/authors is not new, but how we behave and adapt to situations are important.

It’s been so lovely meeting fellow bookstagrammers and book lovers over the weekend, where no one thinks we’re too crazy or much for wanting our books signed by our favourite authors!!! we've tagged some of y'all in the reel 🫶🏾 Also shoutout to our SWF besties @charmaines.reads @vintagelygrace @thebookaccountantt !! always a joy to be surrounded by goofiness but also very real ppl & conversations.

The panels and discussions we’ve attended have been so thought-provoking and inspiring. Truly grateful to be part of this community of readers who just get it. 💕💕 Cheers to another eventful week of SWF, and we hope to see some of you friends around 🥂
