👶🏼Baby Booties *SOLD*

Whilst prepping for The Removed, I spent a lot of my time sharing a constant dialogue with @rebecca.3.rose the writer and director of the project.

Without giving too much away, we needed some baby related props and although it’s not my area, we were all pulling together to get the best of what we could in a very short space of time.

I contacted @superlooperlife to see if they could help, and they very kindly donated these beautiful hand crocheted booties to the project. 💕

They’re now for sale if anyone should be interested? As mentioned they’re hand crocheted, a pretty soft grey colour, (so defo unisex) and prob would fit 6 months to a year old baby tootsies.

Contact me if you’d like to offer a price or tag a friend who you think would be interested - all prices will be considered (and I can ship this to wherever too).
We just want these to go to a good home.

"Treat nature as if your life depends on it. Recognise it does, then do something about it."
Quote from @dr.sylviaearle , President and Chairman of Mission Blue / The Sylvia Earle Alliance, National Geographic Society Explorer in Residence - from my book #RIBAsustainableinteriordesign

Last Saturday many of us did something about it and marched for nature at the very special @RestoreNatureNow gathering in London. Lots of creative banners, headgear, outfits and sculptures there! Did you like my #FatherTed inspired double-sided banner?! 🪧💕
Well I have to thank my #EndPeriodPlastic hero @elladaish the @RSPB and @pinotandpicassobrighton for their brilliant banner making workshop! + yes that is a 🌮 two along from me 🤣

Did you see anything about the march on TV? There was very little media coverage even though it was FULL of wonderful organisations - and attended by 80-100,000 people who went because we ARE nature and we see we need to better custodians for future generations.

As of last night, #RIBAsustainableinteriordesign is officially LAUNCHED! 🎉

The book launch was very kindly hosted by @humanscalehq at their London showroom and attended by such a lovely group of supportive industry and sustainability friends. I really wanted to create a mix of people and get them all connected - and as I hoped, they did!

I've received so many supportive messages from friends throughout the day - from people further away who couldn't get to the launch. Thank you everyone!

I've written about 40 international examples so there were very many people missing. But so many were able to come - thank you to the book's illustrator @elenadrewthis, and examples I've written about from @elladorandesigner Patrizia Sottile, Andrea Simonutti @urban_upholstery_ltd , Sophie Sheinwald, @jonisteiner Steiner, @drresources , Christine Gent @made51_unhcr , Jim Matthews @hgmatthews1923 HG Matthews Brickworks, Andre Loosemore, @safia_minney

Thank you to all the brilliant guests, my family, friends, @interiordesigndeclares Lord Andrew Stone and my Spirited Business friends, lots of @thebiid - so many past Presidents! my brilliant mentee @sadiemillermaggsinteriors , @CircBrightHove and even my client Kyriakos Baxevanis @nostos__hove came to support me!
I’m really grateful to everyone for coming.

Thanks for buying up all the books on the night everyone!!
There's more here - see the bio link!

This is a book that I wanted to read but I couldn't find. Elizabeth Webster very patiently listened to what I had in my head to make Sustainability easier for my peers. Two years in the making - I hope it works to motivate and inspire action!

Moody toddler dressed by @superlooperlife 🙌
Maxine is sporting a Gap denim jacket (and some Disney leggings) which are part of the bundle of clothes that was delivered last weekend.
I signed up to @superlooperlife last October and I am so glad I did. We received a lot of cute clothes (I love @littlegreenradicals!) and we stopped accumulating baby clothes.
Receiving a box of secondhand clothes selected for us is fantastic.
Returning it feels even better. 😄

Tag your favourite equipment rental service, clothing loop or pre-loved store! ♻️

Did you know that we were the first initiative to celebrate incredible rental initiatives that encourage slow consumerism? Last year’s winner was the brilliant @superlooperlife - who will win for 2024? 🔮

Renting baby items is both incredibly helpful as a parent (who wants to buy something that your baby grows out of a few months later?!) and hugely reduces waste, which has a positive impact on our planet! 🌍

Have you considered renting baby equipment, or signing up to a clothing loop? We would love to know your thoughts and experiences ♻️🌿
