LOVE IN SEOUL INSIDE THE CAPTIVATING WEDDING OF EJAE AND SAMUEL KIM Musical artist Ejae and producer Samuel Kim have tied the knot in Seoul, celebrating their union with a stunning, heritage-infused wedding weekend. The couple, whose relationship evolved from a creative partnership into a lifelong romance, chose a venue deeply rooted in family history. Their journey began in May 2017 during a songwriting session at Sam’s home studio. They maintained a strictly professional dynamic until a night out, during which Sam confessed his deeper feelings. For their nuptials, the duo selected Seoul to weave traditional elements into their celebration. The festivities commenced with a Korean Paebaek ceremony and a welcome party featuring Korean fusion cuisine. On October 17, Ejae and Sam exchanged vows at a location of immense sentimental value to the bride, where her grandparents used to live. The bride wore an elegant, strapless tulle gown with asymmetrical draping, while her bridesmaids wore sophisticated olive-green satin dresses. Following the ceremony, a reception filled with dancing took place in a beautiful glass house on the property. @ejae_k @mysweetpea.snap @pakbae @suremagazine @surekorea #Ejae #SamuelKim #weddingday LOVE IN SEOUL INSIDE THE CAPTIVATING WEDDING OF EJAE AND SAMUEL KIM Musical artist Ejae and producer Samuel Kim have tied the knot in Seoul, celebrating their union with a stunning, heritage-infused wedding weekend. NICHE 2 NIGHT: BETWEEN MOUNTAINS AND NEON The convergence of primal topography and clinical urbanism defined the Spring/Summer 2027 showcase by NICHE 2 NIGHT at Fashion KODE in Seoul. Designer Park So-hyun delivered a calculated exploration of masculine tailoring, operating at the intersection of austere geometry and organic fluidities. The collection establishes a dialogue between the organic and the synthetic. Razor-sharp tailoring is subverted by monolithic silhouettes, reinterpreting traditional menswear archetypes through precise architectural manipulation. Structured outerwear, specifically sweeping floor-length leather trench coats, anchors the collection with an imposing, sculptural weight. Under the clinical glow of the runway, these technical skins shifted between deep earth tones and sharp, artificial hues, reflecting the duality of the collection’s title. The presentation’s atmosphere was driven by model and musician Joo Wondae, known as Nodi, who served as the main DJ for the show. In a seamless fusion of performance and style, he also officially opened and closed the runway showcase. The casting heightened the narrative’s tension, featuring the precise, severe walks of models Kwon Min-chan and KIAN. Park’s technical rigor was evident in the construction-rationalized proportions, subverted utility pockets, and deliberate fabric juxtapositions that emphasized an intellectualized, strictly classical urban uniform. It is a compelling manifestation of modern menswear: authoritative, rigorously edited, and intellectually distinct. DUCKDIVE SS’27: THE POWER OF UNFILTERED ATTITUDE The closing day of Fashion KODE SS’27 needed a reality check, not more industry pretension. Duckdive delivered exactly that. Park Jun Min bypassed the usual theoretical fluff, letting a sharp, youth-centric collection speak entirely for itself. The runway became a performance piece the moment motorcycles fractured the silence. This was a deliberate jolt to the system, transforming a sterile catwalk into an urgent, unvarnished arena. The vibe was instant and heavy—a rare moment where the clothes felt entirely inseparable from the chaotic energy of the streets. What made the collection work was its weight. Jun Min cleverly weaponised early 2000s subculture without falling into the trap of cheap, literal nostalgia. It was colourful, remarkably free-spirited, and grounded in a very real understanding of modern tailoring. By marrying the technical grit of motorsport gear with the oversized, fluid silhouettes of archival streetwear, Duckdive proved that contemporary fashion is at its best when it prioritises raw character over commercial conformity. FROM JAKARTA TO SEOUL: GELAP RUANG JIWA DEBUTS BOTANICAL NOIR AT FASHION KODE SS27 Indonesian avant-garde label Gelap Ruang Jiwa, led by designer Runa Marbyartha, has officially expanded its regional footprint, debuting its Spring/Summer 2027 collection at Fashion KODE in Seoul. The presentation introduced a focused lineup of structural evening wear and high-concept jewelry. Subverting traditional seasonal palettes, the collection relies entirely on solid, monochromatic black—a deliberate choice reflecting a prominent Indonesian design aesthetic that reaffirms black as a timeless fashion permanent. The evening gowns prioritize texture and form, utilizing precise drapery and crinkled textiles to directly mimic botanical anatomy, specifically the veins of leaves and the silhouettes of flowers. Accompanying the garments is Marbyartha’s signature sculptural jewelry, cast in raw metallic forms that mimic overgrown foliage. By translating local craftsmanship into a strict, minimalist presentation, the designer delivered a sharp, highly aesthetic debut that establishes Gelap Ruang Jiwa on the international circuit. SEOUL INTRODUCES NEW NAMES As part of Fashion Kode S/S’27, South Korean brand GIMMETHEYOUNG made its debut. Despite being a newcomer, the label has already made a name for itself by presenting a contemporary vision of modern Korean design. Led by the design duo Jang Hyun Young and Hyun Kyoung, the brand showcased a distinctive, inimitable style on the runway at the Seoul Textile Centre. The collection was vibrant and youthful, with references to the aesthetics of 2000s streetwear. Although the brand’s DNA is still taking shape, it is clear that GIMMETHEYOUNG is keeping pace with the times. The collection was also available to view and purchase at the accompanying KODE Market, giving fashion enthusiasts the opportunity to engage with current trends immediately after the show. Editorial Opinion: In the fashion world, where new styles emerge every day, few brands are able to hold attention. GIMMETHEYOUNG, however, has the potential to become a point of reference for a new generation. The brand offers an accessible, fashionable and recognisable aesthetic aimed at a young audience, both male and female. The designers have managed to sense and capture the moods of their own, albeit still small, circle of admirers, which is a valuable quality for an emerging brand. It will be interesting to follow the future development of GIMMETHEYOUNG. Creative Directors: Hyun Young Jang, Hyun Kyung Jang.
