🤘🏽TONIGHT! 🤘🏽 SURPLUS 1980 (LAST SHOW!) PATEKA MURDER MURDER STRAWBERRY PANIC SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH 7 pm doors / 7:30 pm show After 16 years, Surplus 1980 are finally calling it a day and leader Moe Staiano realized that the group could not go any further. Surplus 1980 fuses a fierce, muscular attack with experimental out-jazz and couples that with Staiano's playful lyrics, updating the angular rhythms of post-punk's old guard to a modern-day soundtrack of uneasy listening. With the final incarnation line-up presented, Surplus 1980 will perform selected songs for their final show before walking out the door for good. Come and be apart of their last show, y'all! IVY ROOM PRESENTS 🎟 Tix on sale NOW! 🔗 in bio. #surplus1980 #pateka #murdermurder #strawberrypanic #ivyroom #ivyroomalbany #eastbaylivemusic #bayarealivemusic

Tomorrow evening in Albany, CA is an important and bittersweet show for me. It will be the last Surplus 1980 show EVER, with the most recent lineup of: Moe Staiano, Melne Twf, Scott Siler, Emmalee Johnson-Kao, and Lorenzo Arreguin Playing music with these above individuals the last nearly three years has been one of the raddest things to happen in my 30s. This music is quite fun to play and hear transpire in a live setting, and every member in this band has inspired me personally in their own way as they are all uniquely talented creative, eccentric individuals. This will be the last show ever with all of us on stage playing this music and to hear the signature Surplus sound that Moe has crafted for over a decade. Who knows what he'll do next, but one thing for sure is this project will be a wrap. If you have never seen this band before, or want to see us one more time, this is your opportunity. Would love to see you there. Opening the bill will be Pateka, Murder Murder, and Strawberry Panic. Saturday 9/19, 7pm doors / 7:30 pm show, $20 at door. Tickets cheaper when buying online at below link. IVY ROOM 860 San Pablo Ave, Albany • 21+ Purchase tickets here: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/surplus-1980-pateka-murder-murder-strawberry-panic-2026-09-19-ivy-room-albany-6bbabd Btw if travelling from SF, there will be closures on 101. Instead, I recommend leaving earlier than usual, taking the Golden Gate Bridge north to Richmond bridge in Marin, then once on 580 on the eaat Bay exit on Central Avenue, take it east to San Pablo Ave, turn right, venue a few blocks down on the right side.

🔔 JUST ANNOUNCED!! 🔔 Join us at @theestorkcluboakland November 5th for the NON PLUS TEMPS @nonplustemps album release show with support from San Francisco Bay Area experimentalists PATEKA @suschords Non Plus Temps are a Bay Area ensemble whose core members you’ll also find in fine bands such as Famous Mammals Naked Roommate, & Preening. Tail waggers all, but bunched together here, they spray a hybrid snork like few others. The debut lp, ‘Desire Choir’ from 2022 was an infectious hopper of left field dub & etcetera that make it difficult to stay still. And ‘Conditional Bunker’ their followup 2nd effort, is an even more demanding dinger than the debut. And as is their want, NPT’s song catalog reflects a wide range of structures: the yarp familia via the Canterbury cabal, reverberating chasons ala Family Fodder, hints of Frank Chickens Enka scramble, Laughing Clowns horn-swoggle + all that is worth noting from an appreciation of the On-U Sound & Y Records imprints. I mean, what else is there to say? It’s a platter of unctuous sonority, deserving of a galaxy’’s worth of Michelin stars. Or in the parlance of your mom, “Fuck art, let’s dance”. - Siltbreeze 🎟️ Get tickets at theestorkclub.com 🎟️ 8pm | $10/$12 | 21+ | 𓅡 #storkshows #nonplustemps #pateka #oaklandshows #bayareamusic
