POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As a Reporting II student, I had the opportunity to step behind the camera and practice my photography skills while capturing Reporting I students during their 2026 Beat Meet and Greet! It was a great chance to continue building my visual storytelling skills while documenting fellow journalism students as they connected with sources and began exploring their beats. I’m excited to keep growing both behind the camera and as a reporter throughout the semester! Thank you @proflorijohnston for the opportunity to come and photograph these students!🙏

Had the best time ever covering NBA Summer League in Vegas this year! 🏀🌃🎙️ Swipe for more the details and many first including interviewing NBA VP/Head of Development and Training for Referee Operations, Monty McCutchen, in the studio!

Court pic obviously

My play-by-play debut with Mike Fratello. I was so nervous but honestly doing color made the transition comfortable and fun!

Did have some time to actually watch games for fun

Mock trade deadline interviews!

A great in-studio interview with Monty McCutchen alongside @steele.a14 who also killed it!

#womeninsports 💗

Behind the scenes

I stopped at every photo opp possible

More fun watching games

The girlies ofc💗

Love a pink business professional outfit

One thing I wanted to challenge myself with was writing. Covered a game and wrote a great piece I can add to my portfolio

Look good feel good! (I also find it funny that I used to make fun of my mom for having a gigantic purse but I get it now)

More photo pops

Forever me and my bedazzled computer case against the world

Some more of the crew

Post-game scrums‼️

And to wrap it up I was recognized as the top Media & Broadcast student which genuinely shocked me. I was nowhere near perfect but I pushed myself, tried some new things, and grew in ways I never expected! So blessed for more opportunities that confirm I’m called to do this🫶🏽

Thank you @sportsbusinessclassroom and @nbasummerleague for the best week ever!

This past week I was blessed to gain friendships, mentorship and experience. On the media and broadcast track, I grew my skill set in on camera interviews, play-by-play calling and sports storytelling. I also expanded my knowledge on NBA scouting/video/analytics, salary cap, and athlete representation.

Thank you so much to everyone that put this unforgettable week together and thank you to my SBC classmates for making my time at Summer League even better!

I will carry this experience with me forever✈️🏀

Hi!! I’m Sutton and I’m from Las Vegas, Nevada. I am SO excited to be a Georgia bulldog next year! I plan on majoring in sports broadcast journalism and minoring in marketing. I love going to pilates, working out, traveling to new spots, and going out!! I’m always up to try new foods, go shopping, or stay in, too. I can’t wait to rush in the fall and meet new people! I’m looking for a roommate and of course new friends. See you in Athens!!!
