Happy Mother’s Day first and foremost to my Amma!

Thank you for always believing in me, supporting me, and never giving up on me.

Thank you for the sacrifices you made for us when we were growing up.

Nangi and I wouldn’t be who we are without you!

Another year , another Parkinson’s moving day in the books.

Learned today at Parkinson’s moving day has been in Ventura county for 6 years now, my family has been walking in support of my dad and his battle for the last 5 years.

In the comments , I’ll tag some people that helped my dad reach his fundraising goal.

Once, again thank you for all who show support for not only me as his caregiver but my Thaththa and his continued pursuit of happiness since he’s Jayath ( meaning is Victor) , and all he does is win 🤷🏾‍♂️👏🏾🙏🏾

Everything in life is a choice. You choose the people who you wanna keep in your life. You can’t choose those who brought you into existence, but you can choose the people who keep your existence going

I used to joke about trading “Sgt” for “Dr.” after I retired…
Well, it is FINALLY official; I have my DPT. I would not have gotten here without; my amazing roomies who were there for the tears, laughter, and mild psychosis only achieved through mental stress and sleep deprivation, the incredibly patient and approachable faculty, and most of all, my husband who pulled me out of self-doubt spirals, kept me fed and watered and took over majority of the household chores so I could focus. It was a challenging and enlightening 2 years, and I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and into something completely new!
Thank you to everyone that rode the wave of crazy with me, called the baby ugly when they needed to, and put out the dumpster fire I occasionally became, I could not have done this without you!

Now all I have to do is pass my board exam and I will be ready to fix some people!!!

@suvees , a Sri Lankan beauty influencer and our gracious friend, created this powerful TikTok video to highlight the devastation of Sri Lanka’s 2004 tsunami and the tragic impact of this year’s Cyclone Ditwahs. Through her voice and platform, she is helping raise awareness about Heal Lanka’s mission, upcoming event, and the lasting impact of these disasters on our communities. 🇱🇰🤍

Today, like everyday when I think about my nangi( little sister) I’m a proud and Ayya ( big brother) .

Today, I’m a bit more proud. She strived, she struggled, and now she has succeeded!

Today, the world will be introduced to her with a new title “Doctor of physical therapy , Suvee Ranasinghe”

Either way, she’ll just be my sister .

Like I said at the beginning I’m extra proud today.

Congrats Dr Suvee Ranasinghe @suvees
