Because I can't stop gamifying my reading, here is my post announcing that I'm doing #bigbooksummer this year!

Big Book Summer is hosted by Sue Jackson & Melinda@webofstories on You Tube. This challenge runs from May 22nd through September 7th this year. And all you need to do is read one book of 400+ pages.

These are the books that I plan to read for this challenge:

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt is 771 pages.
This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me by Ilona Andrews is 522 pages.
The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson is 620 pages.
Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry is 858
Alchemised by Sen Lin Yu is 1030 pages.
The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow is 529 pages.

**A book I'm adding to this list
Pachinko by Min Jin Lee 527 pages

In the spirit of back-to-school time we are back-to-YouTube! 😻

We took a little time off over the summer so there was a lot to catch up on. Head over to YouTube.com/BookCougars to watch the video where we recap our #BigBookSummer Reading Challenge books (sponsored by @suzanljackson and @webofstories), share a few of our favorite office supplies, and tell you about a new reading challenge called #FramedinSeptember with a focus on art.

Tell us about a favorite summer read or office supply.

Let us know what you are #currentlyreading.

#BigBookSummer Ok I am committed to finally read the big book that I have had on my bookshelf for so long that I cant remember how long it has been there. Wish me luck on Andersonville by MacKinlay Kantor written 1955. By participating in the #BigBookChallenge that I recently heard about first from cohost Melinda@A Web of Stories on youtube and then also from original host Sue Jackson on you tube. Fingers crossed it happens. Goal read this summer 2025 starting for me after Memorial day.

This book has been on my tbr for a long long time and I finally got round to reading it. What a wonderful book. of course I was bound to love it, it being historical fiction with a women’s point of view and the chance to see a different side of obsessed Captain Ahab 🥰 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ #readingislikebreathing #booklover #booknerd #lovereading #readingisfun #lesabukitadushi #samenlezenisleuk #librarianreading #bookstagram #bookdragon #lezenisleuk #lovebooks #bibliothecaresseleest #readersofinstagram #relaxingwithabook #booksaredabomb

Just finished Savannah by Eugenia Price for #bigbooksummer It’s the first in an epic saga quartet that blends fictional family drama with real historical people from the 1800s. Look forward to the sequel! #eugeniaprice #historicalfiction #bigbooksummerchallenge2024
