Today we sailed into Bar Harbor, Maine with almost perfect breeze! This was a pretty special moment for me as last August, Abby and I were sitting on the shores of Acadia National Park right outside of Bar Harbor and I said to her "Next time we are here it will be in our own sailboat." At that point in time, the boat and the trip were all still just a dream so it feels pretty freaking awesome to be making it happen! Picture 1 was on today's sail and Picture 2 was from last August when we were dreaming of this trip.

5 years ago, my cousin regaled me with his tale of sailing from Chicago to the Bahamas and stopping for the night anchored 100 yards from the Statue of Liberty. Even though I was still in my sailing infancy on a 23ft boat held together by duck tape and dreams, I knew that I wanted to anchor off Lady Liberty. Well today, that dream finally comes true alongside my beautiful wife, our always interested doggo, and the best boat we could have asked for! #statueofliberty #nyc
