Here’s what the bride shared about her favorite part of the day:⁠

“My favorite wedding day memory was our first look. I had kept my dress a complete secret for almost a year, so I was counting down the days until he could finally see me in it. Seeing his reaction made all of the planning, fittings, and keeping the secret totally worth it.⁠

After our first look, we got to spend some time together taking all of our wedding photos before the day really kicked into high gear. It was such a special time because we were able to soak everything in together, enjoy a few quiet moments, and capture some of my favorite photos from the entire day. We also got to include our furry best friend, who looked incredibly handsome in his little tuxedo and completely stole the show. Looking back, those moments felt so relaxed, personal, and full of excitement for everything that was still to come.” 🐶🥂⁠

Could not have done this without our incredible vendors, who heard us say "we want to do all the wedding things, but we don't want to do them traditionally," and got on board immediately. And who didn't flinch when we said "dark, moody, elegant, but masculine and not bridal, and absolutely nothing white or dainty," but were excited to help deliver us something outside the box. We were blown away at every turn, in every moment.

Abigail David and Daniel Corrigan wanted to make their big day an extension of them and their home—whimsical, colorful and filled to the brim with personal touches—and the coastal, garden-style celebration held at The Abbey Resort on Lake Geneva did just that. Curated for the theme “the more color, the better,” the autumnal floral arrangements of orange ranunculus, deep red celosia, amber orchids and delicate ivory perfectly contrasted the beautiful greenery and bright blue lake water.
