An evening at one of my favorite places ( 👋🏼 @rutherfordlibrary ) taking a class taught by one of my favorite bakers/artists/humans ( 👋🏼 @sweetschefjen ) alongside one of my favorite women ( 👋🏼 @ginny.perrin ) for one of my absolute favorite causes ( 👋🏼 @rutherfordlibraryfriends ). Oh and there were cookies. It is so easy to support this town and the beautiful people in it. I still need to work a bit on my decorating. 🍪 🍁 📚

After well over 25 years of service to the Friends of the Library of Rutherford, Della Rowland has retired from the board, but will always be a friend ☺️
•
Della was an instrumental part in creating the Friends by-laws and implementing “Robert’s rules” regarding voting and how we spend money. During her time as a board member she also held the position of president and helped with fundraising efforts like; the mail in donation letter that went town wide, and helping organize the sale of notecards and mugs with James Hand’s map of Rutherford.
•
As a children’s author with almost 40 books to her credit, the Friends decided the best way to honor Della for her time, was to dedicate a small space in the @rutherfordlibrary to her. We asked the children’s librarian Ms. Jane what she was missing and what would be helpful for us to purchase in Della’s name, and she suggested new shelves for large print books.
•
In the Bergen County library system @bcclslibraries we currently have 300 large print children or young adult large print books and now the Rutherford library is the proud the owner of 15 large print books… which they plan to continue to add to.
•
We want to thank you Della for your time as a Friend of the Library and wish you luck on your next life adventure!

No plans. No expectations. Just an amazing group of moms who somehow ended up at the Jersey Shore together… and apparently understood the assignment. 🥂🌊✨

ALL the cocktails. Amazing food. An epic champagne toast. Soulful laughs. A nightclub. Dancing—and then more dancing. 💃🏼🍾 The morning after we won't discuss 😂 and a little beach therapy to bring us back to life.

Spontaneous. Slightly unhinged. Absolutely unforgettable. And somehow exactly what every single one of us needed. 🤍

Seven women. One beach house. Zero planning. Questionable decisions. Endless laughter. Exactly what we needed. 🥂🌊💃🏼✨

Endless congratulations to @rutherfordpridealliance on the beauty, fun and LOVE brought to Rutherford today through the South Bergen Pridefest. It is difficult to pick a favorite day in our town because there is so much beauty all the time but when I think about which day makes me proudest to represent this town, Pride Fest is probably the day I feel we open the doors of the town the widest. You can come here for love and safety. 🌈

Last night was everything!
There is something so powerful about a room full of women who are ready to skip the small talk and actually connect. Seeing everyone open up and support one another was exactly why we wanted to start this.
To everyone who showed up and trusted us with your time, thank you. You made the night what it was, and it means the world to us that you were part of it.
A special thank you to Annamaria from @eliamediterraneanrestaurant Your space is truly the most beautiful, you bring elegant hospitality and top-notch service that made the night feel so seamless.
Can’t wait to do it again. ✨
