Roaming free, with no fixed abode, I traverse this land, on an endless road, My home, my heart, and all I need, A spirit wild, and unbound by creed. No chains to bind, no walls to hem, A life untethered, beyond the realm, I dance with nature, in her embrace, And find my solace, in her endless grace. Through mountains high, and valleys low on, with nowhere to go, But the beauty of this world, my constant guide, And the freedom of my soul, my only pride. For I am a nomad, a wanderer true, And the road beneath my feet, is all I pursue, In search of new horizons, and unknown lands, With nothing but my dreams, and the wind in my hands. #notapoet #writing #travelblog #spiritualjourney #spiritualgrowth #nayarit #mexico #sanpancho #explore #traveladdict #fullcircle #roamtheplanet #peace #pacificocean #westcoast #foreveryoung #newbeginnings #travelforlife #nature #love #brokenthebook #focused #healthylifestyle #jamieswitch #switchypants #roamfree #neveralone #newchallenge

As the sun slowly descends towards the horizon, casting a rainbow of colour across the sky, I find myself entranced by the beauty of my surroundings. The warm, orange glow of the sky above, casts a peaceful aura over everything, and the sound of the waves lapping against the shore provides a soothing soundtrack. I sit on the sand with my book in hand, feeling completely content in my solitude. The world around me seems to fade away as I become lost in the pages of my novel, letting the story take me on a journey to another place and time. Despite the stunning surroundings, I am entirely absorbed in the words on the page, and I relish in the feeling of being lost in another great book. As the light fades and the stars begin to twinkle overhead, I am grateful for this moment of peace and tranquility, and for a moment away from my own writing, to relish in another humans words. #mexico #sanpancho #sanpanchonayarit #westcoast #solojourney #isolation #reading #books #writer #brokenthebook #jamieswitch #switchypants #travelforlife #spiritualjourney #traveladdict #growing #peace #love #selflove #forwveryoung #fullcircle #beginning #focus #vanillasky

šŸ’ Light has always been a symbol of truth, illuminating the darkness and revealing what was once hidden. Just as light can expose the hidden corners of a room, truth has the power to reveal the hidden truths of the world. When we look at a ray of light, it appears to be a singular beam, but in reality, it is made up of countless individual photons, each carrying their own unique energy. Similarly, truth is not a single entity, but rather a collection of individual facts and perspectives that come together to form a greater understanding. Just as light can be refracted and reflected, truth can also be distorted and manipulated. However, just as a prism can separate the colors of the rainbow from a single beam of light, a commitment to seeking the truth can help us to separate fact from fiction. Light can also be blinding, overwhelming the senses and obscuring our vision. Similarly, the truth can be difficult to accept, challenging our preconceptions and forcing us to confront uncomfortable realities. But just as our eyes adjust to the bright light, our minds can adjust to the truth, allowing us to see things in a new light. #mexico #pacificocean #lacruz #boat #solojourney #travelblog #light #truth #honesty #traveladdict #whalewatching #peace #abundance #love #boating #water #travel #spiritualjourney #foreveryoung #brokenthebook #writing #nayarit

šŸ’ Iā€™ve learned a few things these past few years on the road. One of the most notableā€¦ Beware of unearned wisdom. I think itā€™s imperative to beware of unearned wisdom, especially from those who seek to discourage. Find your own limits, and then donā€™t be scared to push them a little farther. Simply put, every answer you could possibly seek, is already inside of you, just waiting to be uncovered. Trust in that, and no matter the outcome, good or bad, it most assuredly will lead you in the direction youā€™re needing to go. Iā€™ve come full circle, to a place where the present intersects with the past. Buenos diĢas Mexico, es bueno verte de nuevo. You may not have changed much, but I sure have āœØ #sanpancho #sanfrancisco #nayarit #mexico #westcoast #solotrek #traveladdict #travelforlife #spiritualjourney #jamieswitch #switchypants #sunrise #fullcircle #change #freedom #peace #love #selflove #travelblog #happiness #beach #sandandsun #buenosdias #carveyourownpath #takerisks #facethechallenge

šŸ’ Itā€™s better to become broken, than to become hardened. Something broken, with time and care, can be repaired. Itā€™s much more difficult to soften that which has become solid, unwavering and impermeable. Falling down just gives us the opportunity to stand back up, with a little more wisdom, than we had before. #himalayas #nepal #nepaltravel #travelblog #langtang #langtangtrek #trekking #trekkinglovers #hiking #hikingadventures #hikingculture #jamieswitch #switchypants #mothernature #mountains #nature #peace #love #risk #feelingalive #spiritualjourney @hikingexplores #wheretonext #travelforlife #asia #challenge #naturalbeauty #growth #change #broken

šŸ’ Thereā€™s something about getting lost in nature that ignites my soul. For me, it has everything to do with reconnecting to primitive risk. That fight or flight sensation when faced with natural dangers. We live in a world so obsessed with longevity of life, that the act of prolonged survival has taken priority over actually living. My home country is particularly notorious for bubble wrapping everything in over regulation, keeping real felt experience, one to be witnessed, but never truly explored. Is that why weā€™re given this cosmic gift of existence, to be passengers in our own lives? To see things from a distance? To look but not touch? To shy away from danger, and miss out on sensations that are acutely human. Itā€™s not hard to imagine why anxiety and depression are so rampant now in western society. We were never meant to be stagnant. I say fuck that. I would rather live a shorter life of passion, than an extended life of the mundane. And the closer to danger and death one toes that line, the more alive and ignited one feels. We werenā€™t meant to live, simply to pass time, thereā€™s no celestial reward for that. We were meant to live with purpose, take risks, challenge everything and discover the unknown. To taste, touch, hear, see, and bleed for all the magic that lays inside the forests, atop mountains, down in the oceans, across endless deserts and deep in the lush valleys. Take risks. Breathe the forest air. Jump into the unknown. Fall down and skin your knees, And then get back upā€¦ Only this time stronger than ever. #himalayas #nepal #nepaltravel #travelblog #langtang #langtangtrek #trekking #trekkinglovers #hiking #hikingadventures #hikingculture #jamieswitch #switchypants #mothernature #mountains #nature #peace #love #risk #feelingalive #spiritualjourney @hikingexplores #wheretonext #travelforlife #asia #challenge #naturalbeauty #growth #change

šŸ“Langtang Valley, Nepal šŸ’ Self efficacy is the belief that you can do something, that youā€™ve never done before. Perhaps when I set out on this journey, I didnā€™t know what to believe was possible, but all that has changed. It all started with a short road trip through Mexico, just to clear my head. That trip evolved into a plane ticket, a boat ride, and a trek into the Peruvian Amazon, to live amongst the Metsa Nete Shipibo tribe. Fueled by that transformative experience, I was launched into the Andes to climb to new heights, on the old Inca trail to the archeological site of Machu Picchu. Form there I scaled active volcanoes in Guatemala, and walked on the white sand shores of Belize. Next, I found myself exploring Colombia, from BogotaĢ to Medellin, Cartagena to the Tintipan Islands, until I took up residence in a treehouse in the Sierra Nevada mountains for a few months. When I returned to civilization, I crossed the Guajira Dessert to the most northern part of South America. Then, as summer approached, I found myself dancing for days at Tomorrowland, in Belgium, until I flew to the States, to experience my first Burning Man with some of the most incredible people Iā€™ve ever met. Feeling called to Asia, I landed in Ho Chi Minh City, and slowly travelled north, up the country to the mountain town of Sapa, close to the Chinese boarder. Now, I find myself trekking through the Himalayas, up the Langtang Valley, in Nepal. A one month road trip, has evolved into a year and a half global walkabout. Iā€˜ve always dreamt of trekking through the Himalayas, free as a bird, curious as a child, being challenged in ways I never experienced, and now here I am. The overwhelming sense of freedom and gratitude I feel right now, is a direct corollary to my choice to trust that the path, albeit unseen, was there all along, I just needed to take the first step, and believe. #nepal #nepaltravel #travel #hiking #hikingadventures #langtang #langtangtrek #jamieswitch #switchypants #asia #peace #love #happiness #mountain #challenge #selfefficacy #solotravel #foreveryoung #change @hikingexplores #spiritualjourney #neveralone #wheretonext #travelblog #explore #himalayas #path #trust

šŸ’ Quite often is the case that real growth only happens when we walk away, or are pushed out, from the lives weā€™ve always known. That chosen, or abrupt, departure from our unique realities, allows us an opportunity to find out what we actually know and truly believe. So long as we donā€™t run back to comfortable patterns, and take the time needed, to take stock of our lives and the reasons that brought the arrival of transition. When all we can see are the contents of our own bubble, we become victims of our own ignorance. Had the house not caught fire, many of us, may have never smelled smoke. Or perhaps a part of us was aware of it, but accepted it, as it was the only reality weā€™ve ever known. Comfort through discomfort, is perhaps better for most, then the challenge of facing the unknown, and the potential insecurity of an unwritten future. I have spent the last year and a half wandering this earth alone, away from everything I thought I was, to embrace other cultures and ideas, and to challenge and scrutinize my own belief system. Whether each and every thought I have is intrinsic to me, or merely passed on, and blindly accepted, based on the people and places I have only known and lived. Travelling, witnessing, engaging, and expanding my world has opened my eyes to other possible realities, and vocations. As I trek through the Himalayas, my mind has wandered toward all things possible. #travelforlife #langtang #nepal #himalayas #soulsearching #asia #travelblog #traveltheworld #lostandfound #mountains #switchypants #jamieswitch #happiestinnature #love #peace #perspective #neveralone #hiking #trekking @hikingexplores #spiritualjourney #awareness #growth #challenge #foreveryoung #expandyourmind #becomethechange #peace #freedom #gratitude #travel

šŸ’ The flesh surrenders itself, he thought. Eternity takes back its own. Our bodies stirred these waters briefly, danced with a certain intoxication before the love of life and self, dealt with a few strange ideas, then submitted to the instruments of Time. What can we say of this? I occurred. I am not . . . yet, I occurred. -Frank Herbert #nepal #syaprubesi #himalayas #langtang #trekking #langtangtrek #asia #travelblog #switchypants #solotravel #hiking #river #jamieswitch #travelforlife #neveralone #mothernature #peace #love #spiritualjourney #lostandfound #northfacejacket #mountains #youngatheart #lululemon #foreveryoung @hikingexplores #dune #frankherbert #dunemesiah

āœˆļø With the remaining days on my visa, and my time running out in Vietnam, I decided to head south to Ninh Binh, for one final trek in nature. Itā€™s hard to imagine that words have ever been created, in any language, that could capture the true exquisite beauty of this special place on the planet. My only regret is that I didnā€™t go sooner and spend more time there. Every time I find myself in a city these days, itā€™s not long before I physically need to escape. Fortunately I made a new friend who joined me on this journey, who I wouldnā€™t have met unless I had been in Hanoi. But after seeing the natural elegance of this place, and the lifestyle around it, I wished I could have enjoyed it for much longer. Maybe it will be a place I return to one day, or perhaps it will just remain a fond memory I can always travel back to in my dreams. #hiking #hikingadventures #ninhbinh #vietnam #southeastasia #naturephotography #switchypants #jamieswitch #peace #love #selflove #newfriend #happiness #asia #travel #travelblog #foreveryoung #followyourheart #travelforlife #neveralone #trek
