Some 3D cosplay shots from day 1 of NYCC, plus a DC booth vid of my casual Thursday. Swipe for 3D stereopairs (viewable like those Magic Eye books). If you know the untagged cosplayers, feel free to comment and tag below.

DC cosplayers east NYCC meet up

[October 10th, 2025 ]

Continuing on with more NYCC post. As usual, and a tradition, I would attend one DC cosplayers meet up on whichever day was suitable to me. This year, I also made a cosplay debut as Poison Ivy.

I cannot express as always on how grateful I felt to be part of this cosplay meet up. If i'm repeating the same story, apologies in advance. For my new followers, here's my story: I first found this meet up back in 2017 in Long Island at a con that shall not be named. Since then the rest was history. I have never felt more welcomed and accepted into this meetup.
During my rough times in the cosplay community, I realized that I don't need to be in many groups for popularity and I can always choose what meet ups make my cosplay stand out the most without being judged and giving the representation it's asking for.

While I may not be very active in the cosplay scene for any comic cons in general, I will always know where I belong whenever I come back to NYCC. I actually have another fandom meetup that I also attend but that post will be shared later. Eitherway I limit what I do in this community to protect my mental health and I make sure that I can really do it IF I choose to do it.

Special thanks to @sopha0127 for guiding the way for the NYCC meet ups. You are our great leader and we appreciate you. Also a shoutout to Rob as well who remains active in the cosplay meet-up scene. 😊💚

Thank you guys so much for everything. Until we meet again. 🌹

Here’s an art conversion of what I’ve jokingly called my ‘Clark Kong’ cosplay, as it’s partway between 孔克南 (Kong Kenan), the Chinese Superman from Gene Luen Yang’s NEW SUPER-MAN comic series, and Clark Kent, with the western-style suit and all. Due to time and materials constraints, this was one of two relatively simple cosplays I did at NYCC.

Thanks to my cosplay buddy @california_nightwing for these photos from a @dc_cosplayers_east meetup, including one with the @swordofgreg as Batman villain Clock King (animated by me via a 3D depth map), and the one I used for the art conversion.

DC cosplay meet up: Fan Expo Philly 2025.

Here is some bonus photos from the meet up back at Fan Expo Philly. Caption the first photo on what Lois is saying to Clark. Winner gets their comment pinned. Haha!

Eventhough I don't miss Fan Expo Philly, I do miss the wonderful people who welcomed me with open arms whenever I am at this meet up. Thank you again Rob (2nd photo as Doctor Midnight while holding the banner) for all you do. I'm glad I can make it on time despite having to miss out on the selfie or photo op with Bitsie and Tyler. Hopefully NYCC will be my second chance to see them at some point if they invite them.

I got one more bonus photo from Fan Expo Philly. Stay tuned. If you missed my first photo from the meet up, go check it out now on my page. The extra photo of the meetup is next to my photo with dogpool.

“I once thought I could protect the world by myself. But I was wrong. Working together, we saved the planet. And I believe that if we stay together, as a team, we would be a force that could truly work for the ideals of peace and justice.” - Superman (Justice League Unlimited)

Here is a bonus photo from Fan Expo Philly last weekend. This was the Metropolis group photoshoot at the DC cosplay meet up on Saturday, May 17th, 2025. I made my first debut as Lois Lane from Superman & Lois. This outfit is from the final season of the TV series but it is also a tribute to Margot Kidder from the Christopher Reeve Superman films. Bitise has shared posts or tweets about her Lois outfits and keeps referecing Margot alot. That is true dedication she pulled in for the show.
Sadly, I was supposed to meet her and Tyler but didn't know their autograph/selfie table thing ended very early on that day. So I never got a photo with them. I hope they can come back for NYCC because I will be upgrading my Lois cosplay to give more detail.

Eventhough I don't miss Fan Expo Philly nor did I had a good weekend over there, I do miss these super friends of mine at the meet up, especially the organizer who organize the event. Thank you Rob for all you do but i'm also sorry to hear the fan expo worker had to ruin the photoshoot that was supposed to be upstairs because the "photo park" said so from the layout map. I swear this con needs organization and COMMUNICATION to update everything beforehand. This is just my opinion though so for those who had fun, i'm glad you did but deep down I really wasn't having any fun.

Anyways aside from that crap, I seriously cannot wait for the new Superman film this summer. It is going to look amazing. I have full trust in director of the film and CEO of DC Studios, @jamesgunn for his set up on the new film. Looking forward to it James! Enjoy my final Fan Expo post. I will slowly share more Lois Lane cosplay photos soon.

Today marks 5 years since creating this account 😲😲 Can't believe how fast the time has flown!

Thank you to everyone, both old and new followers, for all your kindness and support over the last 5 years!

I have made many amazing friends from all over the world by creating this page!

The last few months have been tough and I have wanted to give up and delete this page, but in all honesty it is my hobby and I shouldn't let other's behaviour impact on that. I was also encouraged to continue by a number of you and I thank you all for your kind words and support 😀

I've tagged some people that I've either met in person or that I have become great friends with over the years...thank you all for being awesome!

My first posts were my Zeo/Ohranger toys so I'll celebrate with some Ohranger scans 😀

💙 Jezza.

Wizard World Philly was an absolute BLAST this year. I'm so happy I got to attend Saturday with my sister @lexmcnichol who is the best sister for not only taking photos of me and my friends, but for also helping me and out of my costume on Saturday and taking her time to come hang out with me. (We're working on getting her to join me next time >3 ) Wearing Mad Moon Neptune was a blast, though my feet are still reminding me that maybe those boots weren't my BEST choice. XD I got to see all of my friends who all looked so freaking beautiful and amazing as they always do!! I attended the panel that @eblcosplay hosted with the @sistersenshi and it was awesome!! I was stopped by @swordofgreg and I basically cried when he recognized me by my name! Thank you so much!! I was also blessed with the opportunity to meet the crazy talented @gandakris who is such an kind person and an absolute sweetheart. And I was able to see her custom amiibo upclose. (It was so awesome!!!) Thank you so much for taking time away from your booth to chat with us! You made my little fangirl heart so happy!! Over all, it was a great weekend! I loved it. I loved seeing my friends and making new ones, and it makes me really how much I miss going to conventions. Good thing AnimeNext is this weekend. ;D
