Enjoyed a vibrant gathering with many, many friends this past weekend: The Understory - hosted by @commentmagazine at the @wncathedral. What a magical little spot in the Olmsted Woods for our Practicing Attentiveness // Imagining the Future breakout!

Pointing one another to the glimpses even now and exhorting one another in hopeful imagination for what is yet to be fully realized… @sandramccracken

As the weekend rolls around, we're reflecting back on this beautiful day of making, mending, and marbling!

@calltogather brought Fabrik Dumbo to life as a hands-on space for creative reflection — where gold filled the cracks, ink danced on water, and dreams took shape on paper. Through modern kintsugi and paper marbling, each practice offered a moment to slow down, reconnect with community, and explore meaning through process.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this workshop, part of the New York Asian Arts Festival — co-produced by @discoverakin and @itmeanslight.

Last week, @calltogather transformed Fabrik Dumbo into a meditative space for creativity and cultural reflection. Across three distinct workshops—modern kintsugi, interpretive dream journaling, and paper marbling—attendees explored healing through breakage, the symbolism of dreams, and the quiet beauty of handcrafted pattern-making.

From gold-laced ceramics to swirling ink on water, each practice invited us to slow down, look inward, and connect across shared heritage and personal story.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this deeply thoughtful evening. This workshop was part of the New York Asian Arts Festival, co-produced by @discoverakin and @itmeanslight.

Sip, Savor, & Support, our spring fundraiser, was a fantastic time! 🎷🥂✨🌙 The rain stopped just in time for everyone to enjoy jazz on the terrace, grab some drinks, and settle in for a night of hearing how imperative connection is to the wellbeing of families. We heard an inspiring testimony from one of our newest board members, Ha. Thank you to the Knauss’ for hosting and to everyone who attended! If you weren’t able to attend and want to donate, you can click the link in our bio to give.
