Second summer yet the same faithful God!

39+ new friends. 67 kids. 8 nights of s’mores. 8 Wednesday nights of OMC. 41 devotionals. 169 meals around the table with campers. Countless hours of worship and prayer. Countless hours spent in the middle room of Cardinal. 2 sunburns. 1 lifeguard training. 100+ letters written. 3,000+ photos. 200+ toads caught. Countless side quests. 1 faithful God! But the numbers could never capture what this summer truly meant.

I’m beyond thankful for every camper, every friend, every conversation, every late-night laugh, every prayer, and every person the Lord placed in my life. Thank you to everyone who made this summer so special and continuously reminds me of God’s faithfulness in new ways. Leaving with a full heart, lifelong friendships, memories I’ll cherish forever, and a prayer that I never lose the fire the Lord has lit in me.

“To God be the glory.” - Galatians 1:5

the closest i’ll get to heaven on this side of eternity.

we all know i could sit here and glaze camp until I reach the character limit, but instead I wanna glaze someone who deserves it much more than even cwr (which I truly believe is the greatest place on earth).

camp is only good because He is.
my friends are only wonderful because He is.
we are only able to love because He does.
we only find joy when we discover that He is the true source.
healing is only possible because He is the Great Healer.
we can only have peace because He promises to give it to us.
we are only safe & protected because He refuses to slumber or sleep.
creation is only beautiful because He created it.
life is only abundant because He is.

like everything in life does at some point or another, my time at camp has come to an end, but how lucky am I that I am known, loved, and cared for by the One who never ends! camp is all things good and lovely, and yet, it’s only a mere shadow of the IMMEASURABLE goodness and glory of the Father—glory that I will one day get to see with my very own eyes and experience in full. and on that day, I will be filled with the type of joy that camp brings, only times 100 million and untainted by the presence of sin and the brokenness of this world. oh how i long for that day! but until then, i press on, rejoicing that I get to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the LIVING in a million different ways every single day, no matter where I am. cwr is oh so good. but Jesus is OH so much BETTER, and He calls me HIS!!!

summer two

“Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.” Psalm 145:2-3

There is no place like camp! What a blessing it has been to serve alongside these amazing people and watch the love of the Lord transform the lives of so many!
