𝓫𝓸𝓸𝓴𝓶𝓪𝓲𝓵 - chaotic completely unscripted unrehearsed PR package opening (while sick with the preschool cold plague) featuring the new mani (again).

I can’t wait to start Thorn of a Curse, Book 2 in the Pure Heart series by @sylvialockardauthor ! If you love a Beauty & the Beast Retelling with a morally grey MMC and secret pasts, this is for you! I read the first book (Heart of a Forest) last year and loved it (a Robin Hood retelling & I’m a sucker for a good retelling). It is NOT an interconnected standalone book like I said in the video, but that’s okay because that means you get to enjoy TWO retellings! Please forgive me and blame my brain glitch on this cold.

Tropes:
🥀 Beauty & the Beast retelling
💀 He’s cursed
🖤 Morally grey MMC
📚 Nerdy FMC
🔐 Secret pasts
👑 Dominant FMC
💔 Touch-starved MMC

QOTD: Beauty & the Beast retelling—are you reading immediately or adding it to the TBR? (For me it’s an immediate yes because I WANTED TO BE BELLE - and let’s be honest I STILL DO!)

Thank you so much @nookandfablemedia & @sylvialockardauthor for this gifted SIGNED copy and adorable chibi sticker!

Bejeweled is one of my favorite songs from Taylor’s Midnights album. To me it represents women who are main characters in their own stories: the badass FMC’s, the resilient FMC’s, the FMC’s who are in their soft girl era, FMC’s that stand on their own two feet… I chose these female main characters because I think they are all those things and more. “They polish up real nice” and after all, “a diamond’s gotta shine…” 💜💎

*Edited to Add: I am not sure why this post was flagged as AI content. There was no AI usage here. It is book covers along with over an hour’s worth of blood, sweat, and tears. I spend a lot of time on posts like these and I am careful not to use AI features in Canva, so to see it labeled incorrectly is disheartening.*

I couldn’t let Princess Week go by without some recommendations for some of my personal princess favorites! I have read and loved all of these, with the exception of the two that are starred which are very high up on my TBR list. 💜

Have you read any of these? If so, which one is your favorite?
