Raining? 🌧️ Can’t find us? 👀 Check the Union lobby or our office (OMU 370) instead! ✅ We might have relocated because of the weather… but the rain can’t stop us from working to prevent harm!

This is what your round-ups can do...⁣
⁣
It was a special day at our J&H Manager’s Meeting. We got to present donations to @sylvias.place and @love4achild as part of our Community Kickback program.⁣
⁣
If you have ever rounded up or purchased one of our selected Community Kickback products, you have helped support local organizations like the ones we heard from today. With your help, we were able to give our largest Community Kickback donation!⁣
⁣
Thanks to the folks from Sylvia’s Place and loveforachild for joining us. We appreciate the work you’re doing in our communities and beyond.

Happy October, sassy fam!✨⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Along with the start of spooky season comes the start of breast cancer awareness and domestic violence awareness month! Two causes that are very important to us here at The Sassy Olive. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All month long, these headbands and beanies will be available on our website and can be found under the "Sassy Supports" collection, with proceeds going to raise money for local Michigan foundations. Here's the breakdown: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨$5 from all 6 styles in the breast cancer beanies and stretch will go towards beanies and blankets made by the sassy crew that will be delivered to breast cancer patients at local Michigan hospitals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨20% of the proceeds of each domestic violence awareness headband sold will be donated to a local women's shelter, Sylvia's place.

By now; no one seeing this could possibly ignore that our system of policing needs SERIOUS overhaul. Abolition of our current systems and policies is generations overdue.
While we push for change; here are important resources to utilize and remember until they disarm and demilitarize our (local especially!) police.

Reposted @withregram • @whocanicall Alternatives to calling the police or 911 in New York, NY. Find more resources, or submit your own, at dontcallthepolice.com/new-york-city

Dontcallthepolice.com is a database of national and local community-based alternatives to calling the police, broken down by city. The resources included on these slides are not exhaustive - please check the website for more!

Typically, people call the police because they are experiencing or perceive an emergency, and need immediate assistance. In order to provide the most effective alternatives, we limit the resources included on our site and these slides to those that offer immediate assistance through emergency and/or crisis services.

More resources are being added all the time - follow @whocanicall for updates
