LOMNA 5. Experiments with Photos. Moon Shots 🌕 #avantgarde

Across art, philosophy, esotericism, and neuroscience, the Moon serves as the supreme archetype of cyclical transformation and reflected light. In art and philosophy, its shifting phases evoke romantic melancholia, chiaroscuro, and the dynamic state of “becoming”symbolizing indirect, reflective perception rather than static, absolute illumination.

Esoterically, it governs the unconscious, intuition, and the receptive feminine principle (Yin / Shakti). This metaphysical connection is biologically anchored in neuroscience, where lunar cycles influence human circalunar rhythms, melatonin secretion, and nocturnal neural oscillations, ultimately bridging outer cosmic rhythms with inner human biology.

As an artist, writer, and research scholar, my practice constantly moves between visual experimentation, academic theory, and philosophical inquiry. To keep these concepts focused, I’ve divided my ecosystem into four distinct spaces:
🧠 #syncin – Deep dives into depth psychology, phenomenology, philosophy, cognitive anthropology, and ancient wisdom traditions.
📷 #syncinanushray – My personal visual diary of street photography, poetics, and experimental media art.
🎨 #syncinarts – Bite-sized public scholarship breaking down art history, visual culture, and cinematic techniques.
🏠 The Ghar / Home Project – An ongoing digital archive exploring migration, diaspora, and the meaning of spatial belonging.

Offline mode. Trees R Us 🌲

The bond between humans and trees is neither purely metaphorical nor merely ecological; it is a structural, psychological, and biological symmetry.

Across human history, trees have served as the external Mirror of the Psyche; an anchor through which human consciousness understands its own depth, spatial orientation, and place within the cosmos.

Spring is the beginning of the year. This is when you feel the life bubbling inside — in the air, in the ground, in your body. And this is not a new idea.

This is ancient.

Before Rome restructured the calendar to serve emperors and conquests, most of the world marked the new year in spring.

The Persians still do — Nowruz, the Persian New Year, falls on the spring equinox and is over 3,000 years old. The Babylonians celebrated their new year in spring.

The ancient Egyptians. The Celts. The indigenous peoples of the Americas. Nearly every civilization that lived close to the Earth began their year when the Earth itself began again.

We are human beings of 13 moon cycles and 13 months. The lunar calendar is older than any written language. 13 moons of 28 days each — 364 days — a year measured not by politics but by the sky above you and the tides below you. The Mayan calendar carried this wisdom. So did the ancient Chinese, the Hebrews, the Lakota, the Druids.

January 1st was a Roman invention — Julius Caesar and later Pope Gregory XIII reorganized time to consolidate power and align the calendar with the Church. They moved the new year to the dead of winter. Away from the bloom. Away from the natural reset.

But the Earth never changed. Spring still comes. Life still returns. Your body still feels it — because you are nature. You are cyclical. You are made of the same rhythm as the moon and the soil.

Full Moon Wisdom Baby 🌕

You are the creator and the creation. Your attention to thoughts, circumstances, and emotions creates and collapses your experienced reality.

If your mind is constantly running the script of losing, it shall manifest. But if you pay close attention and recognize conditioning, you can then, through awareness, without being sucked into it, collapse those patterns.

Your awareness of constant chatter in your mind will help you realize the code that runs within you.
