POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Lately, I’ve been sitting with my vulnerability in a deeper way.
And honestly… with my lack of emotional intelligence in this season.

I’ve noticed myself taking things personally that aren’t meant to hurt me.
Old memories resurface. Small gestures feel bigger than they are.
My body reacts before my mind can catch up. I somatize, I feel it all, I hold it all… and sometimes, I blow up when it wasn’t necessary.

There’s grief in that.
There’s insecurity too, especially when I thought my mind was clearer, and suddenly confusion visits again.

But I’m learning that this is part of the process.
Healing isn’t linear.
Sometimes things soften… then tighten… before they finally release.

I feel everything deeply.
I vocalize it. I pray it. I dance it.
And forgiveness, for myself and others, is the only place where it truly dissolves.

Even in the exhaustion, I feel my strength.
I feel my power.
I know I will make it through this phase more grounded, more embodied, more whole.

I carry faith in my heart no matter how heavy the moment feels.
I know my gifts. I honor them.
And I’m learning that not everyone will see or feel them the way I wish , and that’s okay. That’s part of my lesson too.

Sometimes I speak from pain instead of presence.
Then comes guilt. Then reflection. Then forgiveness.
Again and again.

And even when it’s tiring, I’m proud of myself for staying in the process.

I know where I’m going.
I’m aligned with my purpose.
I trust the Great Spirit that holds me, guides me, and walks with me through every shadow.

This post is for anyone moving through their own dark tunnel , to remind you that you’re not broken, you’re becoming.

We are all walking each other home, back to the heart, back to source….

The curtain has closed, but the memories linger ✨
From the whimsy of Coppélia to the heartache of Giselle, these final shows were filled with emotion, artistry, and everything we love about being onstage and off.
Here’s to the late-night rehearsals, backstage laughter, last-minute fixes, and the quiet beauty of saying goodbye to a role. 🩰💫
Forever grateful to dance, to tell stories, and to share this with each other.

Spent the weekend in the mountains with my sister-in-law. Being in nature nourishes my soul. 🌕 Insights are gained when we relax our mind and rest our bodies.

A highlight from our holiday break was taking Movement Medicine with @synchronikkity 💃🏻 what was your movement or dance highlight during the break?

We also loved seeing @missmeganbaker rocking her Movement Pointe sweatshirt in class! So cozy and perfect for dance class!

Movement Medicine: Chasing Pain
Saturday November 18, 1-2:30
With Nikki Zimmerman

Take time to connect with your body and lean toward the parts that hurt—the tight muscles, the scared backs, the voices that say “Don’t do that, people will laugh at you, you’re not good enough!”—and allow these alert messages to come through so we can safely press the edges of the pain and allow the body to move beyond what we tell ourselves we’re capable of doing, building a trusting relationship with the vessel we are in. Utilizes an integration of modifiable breathwork, yoga, stretching, calisthenics, and dance modalities.

First Friday never fails.
If you know, you know.

Consider this your open invitation to get weird, loud, big, and wild every Wednesday at Chase Palm Park and every first Friday at @yogasoup

There's nothing like it.

With Nikki Zimmerman

Come get lost with us! Using gentle breathwork, stretching, yoga, simple calisthenics, and dance, Movement Medicine aims to lead your focus away from the stresses of the outside world and back into your body so you can give it what it needs—be it release, strengthening, endurance, acceptance, or play. Movement Medicine is accessible for people of all ages and abilities with the intention of creating a space for people to explore, through movement, the intricacies of their bodies and what surfaces therein. Movement Medicine is about slowing down to feel the parts of us we neglect, overwork, hide from, or depend on.
