Waiting for his Prince to sneak away 💚 If I had a nickel for every time a green haired chara posed leaning against a tree, I’d have two nickels. Which is not a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice 😗

I’m back home from @smashcon, so here’s my Day 2 photo dump!

On Sunday, I cosplayed Nico Robin / Miss All Sunday from One Piece. I based this cosplay on @leraabova’s live-action interpretation of Nico Robin because I prefer the design.

This cosplay is a huge milestone for me because it was the first one I’ve ever sewn from scratch. It was definitely an ambitious first project - choosing corduroy as a material and making a corset - but it all came together in the end. I sewed the corset, skirt, belt and armband myself, while the jacket was store-bought because I knew I’d freeze without it.

A huge thank you to @razotic_, who came over twice to teach me how to sew and helped me so much throughout this project, and to @kayla.maree.b for gifting me her old sewing machine and teaching me how to follow a pattern.

This project has given me motivation to keep learning, so hopefully you’ll see more handmade cosplays from me in the future.

Thank you to all my friends - old and new - who made this such an amazing weekend. It was my first SMASH! as an attendee, and I had a blast!
