Quick moments from Saturday night with @stonestaro 🌪️₊˚⊹ ࿔ though it’s impossible to capture how special this night truly was on a device ;o 🌀 Closing out his debut Canada & USA tour at our warehouse party, this night was everything we ever dreamed of… ♡ @systemfailure617 on sound really brought this night somewhere else entirely, along with deeply beloved local talent @xen_chron @sohn.jamal @topher.dj @acidtradwife @bbbrazennn & Vertebrae’s own @roiju_ on visuals between two floors. Thank you immensely to all who braved the storm to join us for this legendary night, all staff, helping hands, and a space that so graciously let us go full DIY into the early morning hours… we will never forget it :’) Vertebrae now enters a new chapter, delving further into the label realm, and eventually toying with new locations outside of New England. We love you all, and can’t wait to continue into this next phase ✦˚ ༘🫀

If you were at the first Acid Party with @beets.bi.blaire you know what’s up… we’re gonna have 4 point sound in our favorite secret basement space, and @_headphonesgirl @cyclobonette carrying the whole night on a pair of turntables. They are both visiting from NYC and we are so excited to have them play with us in Boston for the first time. Email thepartyline000@gmail.com to rsvp and receive location info. This Friday @scott_zacharias will be playing a 4-hour set for @socialstudiesnight, and it’s the perfect way to gear up for celebrating our 15th anni in a couple months. We think Scott’s trajectory touches a lot of the sensibilities we’ve tried to shape the party around (those are, no rules). For those who knew us in our much younger years, our entry points to dance music and eventually this “disco/house/techno” party were really some combination of post punk, disco, and hip hop. Of loft and basement parties, of cultural heritage and the American experience, of underground shows and record store hangs. It’s really special for us to see how someone with so many musical touchpoints—some overlapping with ours and some not—and so much musical knowledge, contributes to a very unique and important place under this umbrella of “dance music.” To remind us of what was, what is, and what’s to come and how they all live together. On our record shelves are a few The Fantasy edits Alfredo picked up in the early 2010s and, to be honest, we didn’t know who was behind them until more recent years. So the fantasy very much becomes reality for us on Friday. We don’t get a Scott everyday! Let’s listen, let’s dance. This experience will be enhanced by subwoofer support from @systemfailure617, which is also exciting for us! Tickets are more expensive at the door so we recommend buying now on RA. 🔗☝️

Acid is back for revenge in… ACID MELTS YOU: 2 Starring two Brooklyn based Vinyl selectas: @cyclobonette and @_headphonesgirl Friday Oct 2 10pm-late 💚🧪⚡️🪐☢️🔊 Headphones Girl’s musical world is a funky, kaleidoscopic collage of sounds from the psychedelic underground. From ecstatic, bass-forward breaks to acid, trance, and techno, her genre-traversing sets aim to capture the transcendent madness of the rave experience using salvaged pieces forgotten technology from raves past. CYCLO BONETTE’s sound is both ethereal and visceral. Percussion, emotive melody, and acid basslines are key ingredients in her distinctive, yet genre-fluid sets; diving through breakbeat and house records of the 90s with ease and style. Her sets are ecstatic experiences, and her productions are perfect encapsulations of the energy felt on her dancefloors. Sound System provided by @systemfailure617 of course. Email the info line to RSVP. Location info goes out day of. Don’t be afraid… let the acid melt you, too…

One thing that strikes us heavily about @stonestaro is the versatility he brings to both his DJing & productions: effortlessly bridging bass music, breaks, house and a long list of sub-genres in between 🧬 revisiting this set from @keephush_ Kyoto, Japan ~ as if we haven’t been hype enough ;o ✦ 𝘞𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘬? This next one, in more ways than one, has been a 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨… 🫀 as we’ve gradually continued to put on fewer parties throughout the years, we’re really making it a point to deliver you xxtra special, quality experiences filled with the only the headiest of underground sounds, while dripping in sentimental value. It made perfect & synergic sense to welcome @stonestaro to Vertebrae, for his very first Canada & USA Tour 🩶 “One for the books” takes on a whole new meaning September 26th.
