My secret is out. Thanks to @successmagazine. The truth is… I spent 19 years as a Federal Agent, and while proud of that chapter, I welcomed the next. Pivoting into photography felt like stepping into the light - but also like starting over, constantly asking myself if I was allowed to be here. For a long time, I was afraid to tell the full truth about my story.

I worried that if people knew I hadn’t been a photographer my entire life - if I didn’t start young or follow the “traditional” path - I wouldn’t be seen as a ‘real’ photographer. Imposter Syndrome lived loudly in my head.

Being featured in @successmagazine’s Reinvention Issue is deeply meaningful to me because it honors the fear, the doubt, and the courage it takes to choose what lights you up anyway. I’m sharing this now because if you’re holding back from calling yourself the thing you are becoming - artist, creative, entrepreneur, photographer, whatever your heart desires - this is your reminder: YOU DON’T NEED PERMISSION. Your past doesn’t invalidate your present, your abilities, and your skills, and starting later does not make you less real or less good at what you do. Sometimes you just find your calling later in life, like I did.

I’m honored to have my story told, and I hope it gives someone the courage to shine unapologetically. Reinvent yourself, do what you love, and keep being brilliant at it.

2025 was big. This was somehow the hardest, happiest, most exciting, stressful, and empowering year of my life so far.. it demanded a lot from me but gave me so much more in return. Love from my family and friends (old and new). Big projects at work I was proud to bring to life. And new places and experiences that reminded me how much God has blessed me. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Normally I’m not usually one for captions like this but this year felt worth saying something about. And I know I’m not the only one who felt the weight of what it brought. I find a lot of comfort in knowing we’re all just figuring it out as we go. And that we’re less alone than we think.
Anyway if you’re still reading this I wish you more peace, love, and light in 2026 🤍

I’ve always wanted to make a movies and make friends on set. The idea of playing dress up and playing together is just so cool and the reality was exactly that. we played. We chatted, worked hard together, Magic! Utterly magic and something I’ll never forget. Thank you

Was a Special Agent once upon a time so naturally I’m always up for a mission 🕵🏻‍♀️
This time, the assignment: a fashion shoot using the new Sigma BF camera, paired with the 45mm f2.8 DG lens (and let’s just say, I’m loving how lightweight and compact this setup is 😍).
