Such fun we had shooting this very special episode of my weekly show, #EditieLimitata. It features some of the core protagonists of the first edition of @bucharestfoodweek

Bucharest’s first culinary festival gave us the opportunity to meet and to see in action the soul of a true Parisian institution: LES ENFANTS DU MARCHÉ, the iconic bistro in the heart of Marais. Its owner and creator, MICHAEL GROSMAN treated us with stories, reflections on food and the culture surrounding it and how to stay honest and true to yourself in such a competitive world.

As for the duo ALEXANDRA & CĂTĂLIN CINCU, they are already an established reference for the Romanian foodie community. Their platform, CĂLĂTORII & FARFURII, is probably the best source and inspiration when it comes to restaurants, food and the people in and around. Bucharest Food Week is an amazing addition to the vibrant scene of the city’s premium events for which we have them to thank.

Many thanks to TABRA for making us feel at home and for providing the perfect partnership for an awesome pairing with Michael and his team.

Sadly, since we shot this show (mid-September), Michael Grosman had to face the disaster of seeing his bistro burnt to the ground. On October 12, Marché des Enfants Rouges has been completely devastated by fire.

We take this opportunity as well to wish Mika and his team to find both hope and trust. Les Enfants du Marché will surely revive, much to the food aficionados delight.

It’s been almost three years since we first watched Action Bronson’s episode of F*ck That’s Delicious featuring Les Enfants du Marché.

We fell in love with them instantly, and just a few months later, we found ourselves at their stand in Paris for the first time. From that moment on, we couldn’t shake the feeling that somehow, someday, we had to bring them to Bucharest. We wanted everyone here to discover their unmistakable way of cooking: putting local producers and great ingredients first, turning simple plates into complex flavours, using modern techniques while keeping everything accessible to a wider audience. The good vibes, the great music in the background, the whole rockstar attitude.

This weekend, we watched that dream come true. And we’re still getting goosebumps.

We did it. We fucking did it.

And none of this would have happened without the dream team that came together along the way. We worked our asses off to get here, but we’ve also been incredibly lucky. Lucky enough for the Universe to put so many people in our path who are at least as crazy as we are, just as passionate, just as invested.

Saying we’re grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

This weekend, we lived through some of the most beautiful days of our lives. And after ten years of working our asses off, it finally feels like all that work is beginning to show what it can become.

Thank you to every single person who was part of this.

And thank you, Les Enfants du Marché, for making our biggest dream come true. We did it together. 🔥
