✨ Swing meets Cape Town flair!
At our last Swing and Latin Ballroom Party on 25 October, our member Janak shared a smooth West Coast Swing with Jayne from West Coast Swing Cape Town, runner-up follower in our Jack and Jill event 💃
Dancing to Walk That Walk by Bakermat & Nic Hanson, they brought the groove and connection that make West Coast Swing so addictive.

🎉 Happy Birthday to Us! 🎉
It’s been one incredible year of connection, creativity, and community on the dance floor! Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the WCS Cape Town journey - here’s to many more Mondays of music, movement, and magic together. 💛

We had so much fun decorating and building gingerbread houses today. We learned how to make fondant Christmas trees and candy canes before decorating the panels and glueing them together. Everyone had such unique styles flair expressed in their final products.

This is an activity that is fun for people of any age or ability and if you're stuck for ideas, there's always Pinterest!

The Swing dance community has been such a gift to me! How do I cherish all these memories? I'm going need to get a bigger scrap book!

Thank you all! 🫶🏼

One more post about our glorious wedding reception and then we'll stop bragging about how fabulous our friends are...

The joy these humans bring surpasses description. We'll let their faces (and their dance moves) speak the proverbial thousand words.

🍰 Cake by @whipped_patisserie (it's such a pity you can only see the very top in the pic, but it was a lemon and blueberry delight with gorgeous rainbow icing and fresh flowers... Can't recommend highly enough for both style and substance!)

What do you get when you mix a bunch of swing dancers, drag kings, theatre kids, hikers, ball scene royalty, those old friends who know too much about you, and a sprinkling of Belknaps, McCarthys, and Bedforths?

A Swing Dancing Drag Disco Wedding Extravaganza 🪩. Of note. A night of colour, love, glitter, cake, lip syncing, laughter, syncopation, glory. A night we'll never forget.

Thank you to our #chosenfamily for giving us the wedding of our dreams.

The biggest wedding gift we could ask for was being surrounded by such incredible humans who we get to call our family... These are some of the ones who made our ceremony extra special, with their words and hugs and bubbles and smiles.

🌳Jazzin’ in the Park | Autumn 2024🌳

We had such a wonderful time hosting our first ever ‘Jazzin’ in the Park’ which consisted of a full day of swing dance classes, slacklining between the trees and relaxing with the community in De Waal Park.

Thank you to all those who volunteered, taught and created such a wonderful event🤩
