Day 2/31 of landscapes!
•I’m sitting in the borough today and not working from references
•plopped on the bench in the shade with my favorite painting buddy @taennyr finding some beautiful houses and landscapes!
•it’s been years since I’ve sat and painted from life…it made me miss art school. So, I will paint from life a bit more 🤗
•I’m using my watercolors from @winsorandnewton they are my favorite travel paints!
•if you haven’t been, the borough is a lovely place to walk around

My business is my baby. Before it was a business it was, and still is, my biggest passion. I’ve never gotten branding done because I am BEYOND picky & my whole life I’ve wanted to do everything myself. But a refresh has been long overdue.

From the first call I had with Taennyr to go over my vision, I immediately knew that she was going to execute it so well. From the vintage doily moments to the gentle seashell accents to the hand drawn lettering and hearts… this branding feels like home— like the younger version of Emily who always dreamed of being a wedding photographer and for the past 5 years have been living in a dream come true.

There’s something about the imperfect, nostalgic and hand drawn versions of this branding that speaks to my soul and encompasses all that i’ve ever envisioned. The colors feel true to me. The little icons and logos and textures— far better than I could’ve ever imagined.

I feel a little dramatic about it all, maybe a hint of my nostalgic soul imagining myself looking at this 20 years from now. I feel like this scroll doesn’t even scratch the surface of how perfect it is and all @taennyr created for me. This is just another part of EKP I get to hold onto for years and years to come.

EEEKKKKKKK if you need branding done I cannot recommend @taennyr enough. RUN DONT WALK.
