Kicked off the New Year with a community Polar Plunge at Mascoma Lake this morning. When I put this together I thought it would maybe be myself and a handful of others. I really had no idea what to expect. The fact that over 50 people showed up in 20 something degrees to plunge in 35 degree water was more invigorating to me than the cold water itself. I hope that this isn’t just the beginning of the year but the beginning of a community of people willing to go the extra mile. To do the hard things. To step out of their comfort zones for the sake of growth. To master the self.

So incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, helped out, and even joined the spectacle from the shoreline.

Biggest thanks to @muddygnomes for being prepared for anything, bringing the heat (literally) and all the vibes. To many more collaborations in the future.

Cancerian New Moon Embodied Ritual ♋️ Embodying the archetypes of the Divine Mother there's a deep need to feel nurtured by those around us and to appreciate our homes, community and the earth we walk upon. This archetype offers a supportive bond with a feminine, which can be expressed as affection, friendliness and openness to impressions and emotional sensitivity from others.

This new moon maybe highlighting feelings around financial security, family bonds and relationship dynamics for you, giving an opportunity to heal of old wounds especially along the female ancestral bloodline so we can move forward with grace, lightness and support.

As a cardinal water sign, Cancer thrives with emotional security and receives strength through surrender and going with the flow. Water transforms and changes according to its environment. It adapts easily without resistance by taking any form it flows into and around as it yields to it surroundings. Water doesn’t resist; it just flows ever onwards and it’s this quality we can learn from as we are collectively learning to surrender and go with the flow in these unusual times.

This new moon is urging us to release what is no longer true for whom we are now so we can align with where we are needing to go on our individual evolutionary journey. Being the 2nd Cancer new moon in the last few weeks there could be a strange sensation of being forced back to where we came from to re learn or re visit these same lessons as before we can move forward with grace, trusting that cycle is complete.

The scared journalling question and contemplation for the cards was, How can I best nurture myself and those around me? The card I received for the group was Tai Chi Rising from the Quan Yin deck which is so on point! ♋️ Our yoga practice was a slow moving, gentle meander through our inner landscape, staying close to the earth with lots of pauses and deep exhalations.
