A couple of cues I use with clients who feel their quads more than glutes on walking lunges are hips back, forward lean, and driving the hips forward. They tend to feel more of their quads if they think about pushing the floor down and extending the knee.

First squat session with Natali. We start setting up the exercise from the bottom. First stance, then breathing and bracing, and last bar position.

The top tip here is to squat barefoot. 🤫

Understanding how hard you are training is a skill and is as important as knowing how to execute each exercise or having a good training programme. 🙂

Placing the legs lower on the leg press allows to flex the knee more and engage the quads better.
The only challenge I find with some clients is their ankle mobility. Iin that case, placing the feet in the centre of the press can be more beneficial.

With this exercise, we always go first through the movement, understanding the ranges of motion before adding weight. It makes a huge difference.
