Palm trees. Arched stained glass catching the last of the light. It’s not a backdrop you plan around, it’s one you lean into. So we did, with mismatched vintage china, linens in the softest blue, and candlelight tracing the whole length of the table.

I’ve never been one to shy away from loving my birthday. 🥂

But not for the spotlight or fanfare, but because it reminds me just how incredibly lucky I am to do life with the people “around” me (near and far)

To me, birthdays are less about counting candles and more about counting blessings. The people who showed up, the places that left their mark, the moments that turned into memories, and the unexpected twists that led to a pretty wonderful story.

And I love having a few days to look back on all of it with a full heart and an even fuller appreciation for the cast of characters who make my life what it is.

So thank you to everyone who not only made 10.17 a day of love and connection, but the last 365. Here’s to another year of collecting stories worth sharing, making memories worth keeping, loving my people loudly, and believing that even with another great year behind me, the best is always yet to come.

A hilltop ceremony at the family estate, above their private lake, with rolling farmland stretching out behind the vows.

I didn’t want to compete with a view like this. I wanted to frame it. So the florals became the architecture, with installations lining every chair and drawing your eye straight out to the water and the fields beyond.

On land that has meant so much to their family, the most beautiful design decision was letting it lead.

Hours of setup, condensed into a few seconds. And yes, I will move that plate half an inch.

A little behind the scenes from the promotional shoot for Seated Runway 1.0.

Being the creative director is one of my favorite parts of what I do. But when creative partners trust me with their work, there’s a responsibility that comes with it. I wanted every contribution to be thoughtfully showcased while bringing everyone’s work together into one clear vision.

We were asking people to imagine event rentals in a way they hadn’t seen before. This shoot needed to help them see what I could see in my head.

So much time went into choosing, placing, adjusting, stepping back… and adjusting again. How the fabric fell. What the camera would see. Whether each detail had its moment.

Very detail-oriented. A little ADHD. Very invested in getting it right.

Because this was more than setting a pretty table. It was the first glimpse of what we were about to bring to the runway.
