POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Here's a recap of some of our favorite moments from this most recent Aggie Ring Day! From building meaningful connections with friends, faculty and peers, to preparing for careers that make a positive impact, students shared how their College of Arts and Sciences experiences have shaped their journeys.

Congratulations to everyone who received their Aggie Ring this past weekend!

#TAMUArtSci | @TAMU | #AggieRingDay Two people, one in a yellow dress and one in a black-and-white striped dress, stand together smiling with one arm each raised high to display Aggie Rings. They are in front of a pale stone wall. Text: "CAMILA CARDENAS - BIOLOGY ‘Being part of the College of Arts and Sciences has challenged me academically, encouraged me to grow, and prepared me for my future. Receiving my Aggie Ring symbolizes the hard work, memories, and experiences that have shaped my journey…’”

70 and 65 Years Strong 💪🏼

These three chapters were founded in the 1950s and 60s — during a time when sociology was expanding its reach and influence across the nation.

For decades, they’ve welcomed students into a tradition of scholarship and leadership.

Congratulations to @emoryuniversity on 70 years and @kusociology and @tamusoci on 65 years! 🥳

Were you initiated in the 60s, 70s, 80s, or beyond? Drop your decade below! 👇

Huge congratulations to APWAP member Susana Walsh on graduating from Texas A&M this week 🎓

Susana is officially crossing the stage with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, and we could not be more proud. While we are sad to see her and her sweet therapy dog Dottie leave Aggieland, we are excited for what’s next as Susana heads to Texas Lutheran University to pursue her nursing degree.

Thank you, Susana and Dottie, for the time, heart and joy you brought to our APWAP community through your volunteer work. You’ve made a real impact, and you’ll always be part of the APWAP family. Wishing you both nothing but success in this next chapter 💙🐾

Join us April 4th for a symposium on Asian American Popular Culture

The recent rise of Asian American content in literature, cinema, music, TV, and comedic performances over the past decade guides the focus of this symposium surrounding Asian American popular culture. We have gathered academics and media + arts producers in Texas to explore the intersection of Asian Americans and popular culture.
