I’ve been strangely nervous to announce this.

Because to me, it’s not just a T-shirt.

Las tortugas son amigas, no comida. 🐢

A little play on “fish are friends, not food” because sometimes conservation doesn’t have to be so serious.

This design came from something I’ve felt more and more deeply since building our home in Cambutal, Panama:

We don’t just live around nature. We’re part of it.

The ocean, the turtles, the jungle, the people, it’s all connected. And waking up to sea turtle tracks directly in front of our house has a way of reminding you just how special that is.

I want Gente Del Mar to always stand for that.

Love the ocean.
Respect wildlife.
Protect beautiful places.
And have a little fun while doing it.

I don’t have some giant master plan figured out. I’m just starting with something that means something to me.

Every Tortugas Son Amigos tee will go toward sea turtle conservation efforts in Panama.

So yes, it’s a fun T-shirt. Hopefully it makes someone laugh. Hopefully someone asks you what it means.

And maybe that little conversation does some good, too.

Wear the story. Help the turtles. Have some fun. 🌊🐢
