From Seoul to the next chapter. 🇰🇷

The seventh edition of the Red Sea Labs Feature Film Program, delivered in partnership with Film Independent, brought filmmakers and producers from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Asia and Africa together in Seoul for an intensive program of creative development, mentorship and exchange.

Alongside the workshops, an Inspire session with producer and global media executive Steven Nam explored how culturally rooted stories can retain their authenticity while connecting with audiences around the world.

Next stop: Los Angeles.

Our film ‘Abhinetri’ is set to have its world premiere at the 74th edition of @sansebastianfes and it is in competition at the Zabaltegi Tabakalera section.

What started in 2019 as a sketch of a scene scribbled on a tissue paper in a cafe in Mumbai, has come a long way!

We’re so grateful to @pranjalasha for just being herself, as she ran along with us while we filmed her without a plan, @prernagupta.art who set designed the frames and insisted that we don’t shoot on empty stomachs and to @rhealism, who gave the film its name and sat on the edits with us, believing that there was something there, even when we couldn’t completely see it.
