Arundhati Roy describes beautifully what she loves the most about India. The last 3rd of this video is poignant and really the answer to why we criticize our home country, dissent and resist. It gives me goosebumps, and I hope you listen to it.

This is her answer to a journalist who asks her what she loves about India, insinuating that she keeps denouncing it.

In the early nineties, a newly-wed Indian couple immigrate to England. A vignette of their early days in a foreign land, while traversing the very new relationship.

Wrote and directed my first Hindi language film and i know now that it must happen again and again. It's the language I grew up speaking at home, so this feels like a moment x

Showing soon at the BFI Southbank :)

Our film ‘Abhinetri’ is set to have its world premiere at the 74th edition of @sansebastianfes and it is in competition at the Zabaltegi Tabakalera section.

What started in 2019 as a sketch of a scene scribbled on a tissue paper in a cafe in Mumbai, has come a long way!

We’re so grateful to @pranjalasha for just being herself, as she ran along with us while we filmed her without a plan, @prernagupta.art who set designed the frames and insisted that we don’t shoot on empty stomachs and to @rhealism, who gave the film its name and sat on the edits with us, believing that there was something there, even when we couldn’t completely see it.

They grow up so fast 🤍

When I was 6, she showed me Sound of Music. And I thought my mummy was Maria. How do you catch a cloud and pin it down? (No) thanks for passing down the ADHD, mummy!! Thank you for this utterly beautiful life x by @tanvi13c

Loud and on repeat, I will die on this hill: kind is cool. Authentic expression of feels is so cool. self awareness and empathy is intelligent. Kindness in spite of odds is even more intelligent. Don’t try to underplay vulnerability for others’ comfort. The most beautiful and worthy things in the world are birthed out of intensity. Playing chill is soo boring. And really honestly, a waste of our time here ‼️ life is short guys. It’s like we keep forgetting this most ultimate truth by @tanvi13c
