Did you know we offer couple therapy?

Whether you are in a monogamous relationship or practicing polyamory, we can provide you with the foundation for how to be in each other’s care. In couple therapy, you can learn to give and receive the types of care that helps your relationship thrive.

For you, that might mean…
Negotiating non-monogamy terms, preparing for long-term commitment, setting up safe kink practices, work through a consent violation, navigating a break up, or just putting an end to the same argument over and over again.

And…we’ve just updated our #coupletherapy page! Visit us in the link in bio at Toronto Relationship Clinic to check it out.

I (Tanvi Yenna) find myself repeating this quote to clients and myself often. If something doesn’t require me to overcome fear, then was I brave at all?

Fear is part of bravery, because it takes courage for us to push past it. That’s why we say “do it scared.”

When couples come into therapy, things can feel tense and combative. It’s my goal to help folks work through that tension, resolve underlying conflicts and re-discover empathy for each other. Seeing your partner as your opposition is a barrier to emotional safety in a relationship. The hopeless romantic in me really enjoys watching couples build stronger connections to each other!

I (Tanvi Yenna) turned 30 recently and I’ve been reflecting on what I’ve learned about being a therapist in my career so far. There’s so much more for me to learn, but here is part 1 of a 3-part series on notable concepts or ideas I have gathered in the past several years.

For a longer more extensive version, read my thoughts in my blog by clicking the link in bio!

Sometimes, I (Tanvi Yenna) notice that feelings of disgust and anger in response to harm makes punishment and vengeance sound pretty appealing.

We are bound to have strong feelings when we learn about harm. My feelings may likely be fucked up and weird and uncomfortable and absolutely deserve to be processed and felt.

However, they can’t be the only guiding force in my political compass.
