It was such a privilege to see Presenting History: Testing Translation at the opening of The British Pavilion and to be with so many friends as we celebrated this special moment.

Massive congratulations to @lubainapics
for your beautiful and poetic exhibition full of resonance and conversations, love and hope, and a list of questions that we all need to carry with us. And @magda_stawarska for your fabulous soundscape which carried us through the pavilion and into the paintings.

There are some days we remember for all the wrong reasons.....but Wednesday 6th May we will remember for all the right reasons.

@lubainapics officially opened her exhibition #predictinghistorytestingtranslation Predicting History: TestingTranslation at The British Pavilion as part of 61st International Art Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia.

We were honoured to stand alongside the many many other individuals who filled the avenue in front of the British Pavilion to show their love and appreciation.

Congratulations to @lubainapics and @magda_stawarska for sharing their vision and journey through colour and sound, providing spaces of reflection and hope.

Tao Lashley-Burnley (@taol_bart) returns to take over the ICA Instagram this week 👀

Presented as part of our current exhibition, Connecting Thin Black Lines 1985 – 2025, Lashley-Burnley’s digital interventions explore how both online and physical spaces enable or hinder communication.

During Covid, Tao turned to Instagram stories to stage ephemeral happenings and is interested in how people might react to them firsthand or miss them entirely ... perhaps later hearing about them from others.

Keep an eye on our stories this week for unexpected interventions!

I recently had the privilege to revisit #connectingthinblacklines / #thethinblackline @icalondon curated by #lubainahimid @lubainapics in a more peaceful setting and it is a marvelous reimagining of a historic event. This week don’t miss performances by @magda_stawarska and #trevormathison @mathisontrevor !!! Mabrouk to @bengiunsal for visioning this proposal to life!!

Lubaina Himid has invited Tao Lashley-Burnley (@taol_bart) to take over our Instagram for Connecting Thin Black Lines 1985 – 2025, exploring how physical and digital spaces enable or hinder communication.

During Covid, Lashley-Burnley began to use Instagram stories to stage ephemeral happenings, and is interested in how people might react to them firsthand or miss them entirely ... perhaps later hearing about them from others.

Watch out for Tao’s interventions across the ICA’s Instagram between 14 – 20 July.

My latest Batrep is up on the ever-superb @winters.seo YouTube Channel! My good mate @taol_bart said he’d been watching Winters for aaaaages, and wanted to take his gorgeous Raven Guard on the channel for a big ol’ game.

And when it comes to Raven Guard, you know we had to get Corax Madlad @sultanplays40k involved. Super fun game teaming up with Winters with our Tyranids, proper fun laugh-along 40k, which is always my favourite way to play!
