Another lazy day at home - much needed!
This morning, I cracked into the Jasbire Black Tea from @nepalteacollective. This is from their Reserve line of extremely small batch, artfully crafted teas from eastern Nepal. Clean, fruity, floral, and sweet - this is a gorgeous little black tea! There’s also crispness about it that is both refreshing and cozy. Very well-balanced!

Thanks for sending my way, NTC! This was part of the thank you package for volunteering at the Northeast Tea Festival. ☺️🫖🥳

3rd year visiting the @nwteafestival and it only gets better each time. More familiar faces, more ease, more knowledge, LOTS of new tea (my haul 😱) - What a great event full of even greater people. Maybe one day I’ll have a booth! But happy to be a tea drunk visitor for now :)

P.S. my SALE is still going through 10/3 so please grab yourself some goodies! PLANETHEYCHA.COM

Enjoying the (hopefully) last of the very hot days with a weekend sampling of some great green teas.

This 2026 Long Jing from @teavivre is incredibly full of flavor: chestnuts, rice grains, buttery corn 🌽

Quite a delight!

À tea sesh over the weekend: tasting a 6g tea coin of Pippy the Kid from @intergalactic.tea

This is a Meng Fei Spring Arbor Shu, and it has all of the characteristic shu flavors. It is rich, it is earthy, it is woody. Drinking this tea felt like an early morning hike up a bushy mountain, when the sun rays are barely peeking through the thick green leaves, and the morning mist is still trapped within the branches.

Ps: I’ve been enjoying my Puerh morning steeping with the heart inspired @taoteaware teapot.

Just some artsy fartsy moody shots with the afternoon sun.
It started pouring rain 5 minutes after I took these.

Some of our Schasteâ blending team visited the @northeastteafestival yesterday! A day filled with tea sips and communiTEA building. 🍵

Thank you @nepalteacollective for organizing and creating a space for New England’s tea community to come together, connect, and celebrate tea!

A shot I took from a session last week, I noticed that my little bonbon chaozhou teapot nested into my custom Dorohedoro tea cup! I thought the shot deserved more than a disappearing story post.

The tea in my pot was the Garden of the Immortals dancong oolong. This tea, known as 蟠桃香, Pantao Xiang, or Immortal Peach Fragrance is a sub varitial of the Milanxiang and has those honey notes one would associate with that varitial. This varitial plays more in the realm of juicy fruit notes with a lingering honey note rounding the finish.

I had my Dorohedoro themed teapets joining me for this session in celebration of #worldlizardday and so of coarse I had to bring out my custom made cup from @mango.witch to enjoy this session with! I love this piece, and it is an absolute joy to bring it out and enjoy tea with! For this session I used one of my smallest pots in my collection, this Bonbon chaozhou teapot from @taoteaware is an awesome simple piece that get the job done! And with the small volume I can make my dancongs last a little bit longer! This pot also happened to fit nicely inside the tea cup leading to this fun shot!

I got inspired yesterday by the wonderful tea community to pair the darker flavor of Puerh with the intensity of a dark chocolate. A bold combination to kickstart a morning, but something that I could easily get on board with.

The pairing was truly delightful, the same way you can expect a bold richness and delightful aftertaste on a hot mocha, having an earthy and juicy fermented tea followed by a dark chocolate brownie certainly hit all of my taste buds in the right way.

I really enjoyed taking my time and savoring each bite, I am so glad this is the start to my week!

Thank you @petalosderosamx for the inspiration ✨
