JJ went to the Hot Dog Fashion show event for a meet & greet today. He did so well despite all the noise and stuff going on around him. It really warms our heart to see how beloved he is by the people at TAP! Everyone was so happy to see him and so incredibly happy that he was there to meet a future family. JJ met Pugsley, a 12 yr old Pittie who definitely has older bro energy. JJ and Pugsley took a walk around the block together, and at the end of the meet up they were chilling on the side walk side by side like besties in the making 🐾 🐾

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month I would like everyone to see that JJ is a bilingual boy… He doesn’t know many commands yet, but the ones he knows…. He knows in English and in Español!!! 💃🏻

JJ doesn’t like his paws touched. He has always tucked them in when we have tried to reach for them and has never liked them getting cleaned. One day on a walk he inadvertently stepped on some poo and I had to clean his paws before we came into the house. It was incredibly difficult to say the least. After that incident we began to work with him so that he would allow us to touch his paws, and eventually be able to hold them and clean them. It is still a work in progress, he still tucks them in at times. After a few weeks he is mostly compliant with the paw cleaning after his walks, but it doesn’t come without some side eye and mildly resentful looks. 👀 fortunately he is very motivated by stinky treats! The paw balm he still tries to lick off though. We will keep working on that.

Yes! HES ADORABLE!!!! And looking for a great home!

Buzz came to us fearful of EVERYTHING and has made soooo much progress! He now loves people, but prefers gentle massages and petting. He loves dogs once he gets a few minutes to meet them and realize they aren’t going to hurt or rush him. He loves toys, chew toys and of course a good zoomie around the yard a couple times a day 🤣

He’s still learning about the outside world, so walks are definitely not his favorite yet 😂 It takes him about 3 hours to go one block 🤣🤣🤣 He needs someone who will let him go slow, stop and take everything in because he has literally NEVER seen any of this before!

Buzz was born in a yard with his siblings and never left. So cars, people, sidewalks, noises, walks… it’s ALL new to him.

I’m looking for a quieter home with a yard and at least one nice dog who actually enjoys interacting and playing with him. His dog friends really help him feel safe and continue building confidence. ❤️

He MUST have:
• A yard
• A friendly dog who will enjoy interacting with him
• Someone willing to go slow and continue helping him learn that the outside world is safe

He’s 2 years old, low energy, healthy and a stocky, strong 9 pounds of scruff 😂❤️ He LOVES toys of basically any kind and is such a sweet little dude.

Reach out if you want more info on Buzz!! ❤️

JJ is fully crate trained. We found that he has anxious behaviors when abruptly placed inside the crate and left alone. If provided with enough time to adjust inside the crate, he is able to transition well, stay relaxed, and will be less likely to exhibit any anxious behaviors. His routine includes getting him into the crate 10-15 minutes before leaving the house or going to bed at night. This is usually enough time for him to settle in the crate and relax. He is very treat motivated so he will gladly go inside in anticipation of getting a yummy reward 🏅

Little girl is STILL waiting for her forever home! 🥺❤️

She’s 1 year old, 18 lbs

She loves playing with other dogs, LOVES toys, is housebroken and crate trained, and is great on walks (but prefers a quieter neighborhood).

She’s fantastic at restaurants and will curl up and fall asleep in your lap. 🍕🌮🍝🍱

She loves to be carried and held like a baby but isn’t needy.

She’s a sweet, silly, funny little girl and quite possibly the BEST snuggle buddy in the world! 🌎😴😴

Because she loves playing with her dog friends so much, she must go to a home with one or more playful dogs who will be her buddies.

If your dog is looking for a best friend, reach out! 🐶💕
