life changes overnight, but we don’t

within 24 hours, i went from serving a work team happy hour to sitting at a work team happy hour being served.

as i transition back into full-time work after a couple years of gigs and part-time jobs while growing mother armenia, i leave part of my heart at the restaurant that held me through everything. i’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity that lies before me. and i owe so much to the place that gave me invaluable warmth and stability while so much else was up in the air.

if you’re looking for work rn, i feel you. take breaks if you need to, never give up, the next thing IS coming.

<3 please humanize your servers and all service industry workers. make eye contact, ask how they’re doing, be respectful ((& tips are often most of their income))

and if you’re ever in elmwood please swing by @cafelamed_berkeley for me <33 grab a glass of armenian wine or muhalabiye or chicken pomegranate or all of it

Through heartfelt conversations and shared experiences, the gathering created a space for connection, reflection, and community, reminding us that our many identities and journeys are what make our collective story so vibrant.

I’m gridding my epic tour of Skywalker Ranch!!! We couldn’t take pics of the interiors, but just know that George Lucas boasts the finest decorative tchotchkes imaginable. (Including the Holy Grail and the Sankara Stones.) Many many thanks to @skywalkersound’s Shaun Farley for taking us around the campus and making a movie nerd’s day! 😎🤓
