I wish every woman could receive this level of tending.

It doesn’t have to look exactly like this, but this is the way I was held at my birthday blessing and the way we hold each other in my community.

Birthdays, grief, blessing ways, birth, pregnancy loss, transitions in womanhood.

Strong women need to be held ❣️

I learn this lesson over and over again because I hold many.

This birthday, I was grieving so hard. I tried to cancel it 10x but these women wouldn’t let me.

I curated my river birthday party with spirit baby readings, paintings, and a delicious organic gluten-free brunch spread.

Yet I showed up with grief and pain in my heart, embarrassed to show it.

These women held me. These women tended me. These women wiped tears from my face, poured prayers, words, songs and devotion into me, reminding me of my strength.

I once heard a story about a community in Africa that, when someone loses their way, the community gathers around them and reminds them of their goodness rather than shaming them.

I believe its message is something our Western world deeply needs.

The gift I’ve received from my communities, from Kaua’i to Boulder, is that when I’m in pain and feeling lost, I have women who reflect back to me who I am, how I’ve impacted them, and the strength they see in me.

I want this for every woman.

If you’re postpartum and feel like you’ve lost your identity, grieving multiple losses, navigating heartbreak, moving through perimenopause, or simply forgetting who you are in the midst of life’s transitions…

You deserve to be held, witnessed, and reminded of who you are. ♥️

We as women need to come together and hold each other. Tend to each other. Remind each other of our strength.

This is where our strength is.

Still glowing from such a beautiful Full Moon + Equinox gathering at CoSM. 🌕🍂✨

Deep gratitude to Alex & Allyson Grey, the entire CoSM family, Martin & Carl Bridge and all the live painters, fire dancers, and my Sonic brothers Temple Step Project, and Bluetech for co-creating such a powerful weekend.

This marks 13 years and 5 gatherings that have brought me to this sacred land. This chapter has me thinking a lot about the cycles and flow of life. Equinox. Full moons. Relationships. Endings and beginnings. Returning to familiar places as different versions of ourselves. Letting go of identity and grasping, and discovering what remains. 🌀🙏

The rain and storm rerouted us indoors Saturday, but that became part of the medicine. A massive bonfire was lit outside just before the heavy rains came down, while inside we danced, painted, prayed and celebrated together. Saturday night was a full journey of dynamic grooves and really popped off 🔥

On Sunday I also played an ambient ‘Art Church’ set, creating a spacious sonic container as artists painted in real time. I loved offering music in this way, as a field for creativity, contemplation and connection. Creative spirituality in motion and community. 🎨🎶

Thank you CoSM for continuing to hold this meeting place of art, music, spirit and community. Spaces like this are so needed. 🙏✨

Still feeling the resonance of this past week on Maui. 🌺🌊

MicroForest was exactly the kind of gathering where Liquid Bloom feels at home: music, community, nature and regeneration woven together on the land. And that solar-powered VOID sound system was perfection. 🔊☀️

After a two-hour dance wave through the full spectrum of Liquid Bloom sounds, I played an extra hour of deep ambient music to land the ship. It was beautiful to see so many people stay immersed, and to hear afterwards about the deep emotional releases that happened during that final hour. Sometimes the quietest part of the journey goes the deepest.

Huge gratitude to Luke and Brandi for bringing me out, hosting me on their permaculture land @malaokapono, and continuing to cultivate this kind of intentional community on Maui. 🌺🙏

I also got to share the week with my blesstie @taraofdestiny as we navigate into a new phase of friendship and sangha connection. One of the most special moments was finally visiting Ram Dass’s home. After having the honor of collaborating on a track with his voice several years ago, it felt deeply meaningful to be in the place where he spent so many of his later years.

And in one of those beautiful synchronicities, just days before coming to Maui I was invited by @loveservemedia to work on another piece with his voice called “Rainbow Body.” 🌈🙏 It was also inspiring to learn about Hanuman Maui’s @hanuman.maui “Be Home Now” campaign to purchase the house and preserve it as a living sanctuary for Ram Dass’s teachings, practice and satsang for generations to come. ❤️ @babaramdass

Tara and I also made space around the Fall Equinox for deeper ritual and ceremony honoring our transition, letting go of one chapter with love while making space for the next. 🌀❤️‍🔥

And somehow, between all the rain Maui has been receiving, we were blessed with dry skies for the festival weekend. Now another tropical system is arriving just as we head onward to New York to be with @chapelofsacredmirrors for the full moon Saturday!

Mahalo for everything Maui. Grateful for the music, the land, the friendship, the community and another beautiful chapter in this unfolding journey. 🐉💙🙏

Sometimes we keep attracting unavailable, inconsistent, or unhealthy masculine partners because healthy masculinity still feels unfamiliar in our own bodies.

Not because we consciously want chaos.

But because our nervous systems often recognize familiarity before they recognize health.

If your internal masculine has learned to override your needs, dismiss your emotions, abandon your desires, push past your boundaries, or demand that you prove your worth through doing…

it can be much harder to recognize those same patterns when they arrive in a partner.

And this is where the work becomes so much bigger than “choosing better men.”

It becomes learning healthy masculinity inside yourself.

The part of you that creates structure without controlling you.

That protects without possessing.

That holds a boundary without punishment.

That follows through.

That honors your no without withdrawing love.

That creates enough safety for your softness, desire, creativity, sensuality, and feminine expression to actually expand.

When you begin to experience that masculine within your own body, something changes.

You stop confusing intensity with devotion.
Control with protection.
Pursuit with commitment.
Possessiveness with love.
Potential with partnership.

Your body begins to recognize the difference.

And healthy masculinity no longer feels boring, foreign, or “not enough.”

It feels safe enough to receive.

The work isn’t simply becoming better at finding the right partner.

It’s becoming so deeply acquainted with healthy love inside yourself that you can recognize when it’s standing in front of you — and when it isn’t.

Sometimes the hardest relationship to leave isn’t the one where the love is gone.

It’s the one where the love is still very much alive.

Where there was real beauty.
Real intimacy.
Real growth.
Real lessons.
Real love.

And still… something in you knows.

This is no longer the partnership you would choose from the woman you are today.

That’s a devastating kind of truth to hold, because there may be no simple story that makes leaving easy.

The relationship served a purpose.
You changed each other.
You loved each other deeply.

And perhaps the relationship isn’t asking to be fixed anymore.

Perhaps it’s asking to be completed.

There is a difference between loving someone and being aligned with the relationship you have with them.

And there is a difference between choosing a relationship because it is your deepest desire…

and holding onto it because your attachment is terrified to let it go.

Sometimes our attachment says:

But I love them.
But look at everything we’ve been through.
But what if I never find this again?
But what if leaving is a mistake?

While something quieter in the body already knows:

I can love this person and still choose to leave.

Not because the love wasn’t real.

But because honoring what was real doesn’t require us to keep recreating it forever.

Some relationships fulfill their purpose by lasting.

Others fulfill their purpose by changing us so profoundly that eventually, we have to become brave enough to release them.

You are allowed to be grateful for the love.

You are allowed to grieve it.

You are allowed to still love them.

And you are allowed to choose yourself anyway.

Because love does not require self-abandonment.

And sometimes the most loving thing we can do is stop asking a relationship to become something we already know it no longer is.
