INFRASTRUCTURE!

You have an idea for what you want something to be, and then one day you walk into a space with over 20 of your friends all building, creating, teaching and learning from each other, being wonderful humans over everything else.

@generation.works was designed for this moment, to be a platform for all our friends to come with us, do what they love, grow and prosper. It’s a collective I genuinely believe is hard to find or replicate, and I’m just immensely proud of everyone we get to spend each day working with.

From the stuff you see that pays the bills, the campaigns, the strategic projects to everything you don’t, the homework clubs, the mentorship and classroom initiatives, we’ve created an infrastructure for our friends that is creating equity and mobility in our borough one step at a time.

G-d guide and protect us while we continue to build this aeroplane in mid-air! Hackney to the world 🌍

SEP001-26 - The @officialbighalf 2026 - hit a new unintentional PB with the boys @tarik___halil & @oscarallen1

Been grafting the most structured running routine ever, curated by coach @waddypillkins

The run on Sunday was more of a test of progress, to see how far off I am from my training block.

The goal I have in mind is to hold a 4:30 P/KM for the next half marathon in October.

To my surprise I PB’d - yet again running has proven to me that what you put in is what you get out.

4th year running this course and every year I’ve shaved some time off.

The margins are getting smaller and the work is getting harder, all so humbling.

Hitting 4-5 runs a week, is good but not enough. I definitely need to hit my gym sessions harder, the mountains from the last couple weeks really did something to my mindset and my legs.

When it got hard, I dug deep and said to myself “stop being a bitch, @grochfordsmith just ran 100KM”

Biggest gratitude goes towards Oscar and Tarik for pacing me and pushing me when the run was getting dark.

Had to drop the pace around 16-17Km to control a stitch and then managed to pick the legs up near the end, shaved off a couple minutes from last year.

But the game continues, this is one of the most enjoyable half marathon races I’ve had - woke up and felt good about it - I felt no pressure of anything but to hit the block like intended 💫

We go again, grateful for the family vibes, as always thank you to my family at @runtheboroughs @generation.works

It’s getting dark, but that doesn’t mean we can’t stay fly 😏
