1 Night, 6 Female Chefs fighting against cancer ✊💝

Nights like this remind me why I love the food industry

A few weeks ago, when Chef Margaret asked me if I wanted to team up with a group of ladies in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I instantly jumped in

The culinary industry is notoriously difficult and competitive

But it is also such a beautiful and collaborative space full of people who care deeply about community

Shoutout to:

Chef @marzlet - @thattuchicago
Chef Kathy Hardy - @tasteofthephilippines
Chef @carol_cheung312
Chef Mary Aregoni - @saigonsisters
Chef Mackenzie DeVito- @plantissimo_

Proceeds from the event went toward supporting the American Cancer Society

Thank you to @mikesula for allowing this event to be part of his weekly Monday Night Foodball series

And thank you to all of the great chefs who also dropped by to support 💛

“Sometimes it be your own…”

Most bad reviews come from a place of just wanting to be an asshole. From a server to forgetting about bringing over extra napkins to opening 4 minutes late, it’s usually on some bullshit.

Being the fat boy that I am, when I visited @tasteofthephilippines in Chicago on my “How You Get Fired On Your Day Off!?” Road trip across the country, ordered half the menu. Nothing disappointed. From fresh rolled Lumpia to the runny egg in my Ube Pandesal Breakfast Sandwich, I was in Filipino Food Heaven.

Also 5 Stars for multi-tasking an interview, welcoming guests, and being a Super Mom.

Happy FAHM. Go spend some money at your local Filipino spot!!
