Did you ever have a cake you wanted everyone to know about?
@tastethiscake is my new favorite bakery in #baltimore ! The birthday girl in question appreciates simple flavors elegantly and expertly presented, and she was not disappointed! Lemon sponge, lemon curd, with vanilla buttercream. 🍋 And the owner/baker Jamillah was easy and delightful to work with. I am not ashamed to tell you that several 50-something women sat around eating multiple L-A-R-G-E pieces of this delicious cake in one day. And I would do it again. 💛🍋💛

ONLY BALTIMORE WOULD… have a wedding venue in a woodshop…!!! ✨😍

That sentence is just one of the many reasons why I ❤️ this city. It’s no secret that Baltimore is a city that prides itself on its charm, history and industrial roots. When Sandtown Furniture Co. discovered this incredible brick warehouse in 2021, they had a vision for the space that is unmatched in its attention to design detail while also preserving its rich history dating back to 1885.

Now fully renovated and ready to design and produce gorgeous, handcrafted custom wood furniture AND host weddings and events…

Our home base has changed over the years, but the support and community we have felt along the way has always been consistent!

Just wanted to give an extra special thank you to our pals @kupcakesco for being the first to open their doors to us. We worked many late night/early morning hours fueled by incredible Kupcakes and support from Michelle, Bill and their team! They truly welcomed us in as family!

Our next stop was a little closer to home @bmorekitchen! We worked alongside so many incredibly hardworking and talented makers! Being able to look around the kitchen at 1:00 am and see other hardworking and dedicated people made us feel a little bit better about the late night! The support of the Baltimore food community is INCREDIBLE and being amongst the original BMore Kitchen tenants with @bottomsupbagels @pietimebaltimore @tastethiscake @frucasion_fruit_boutique @gundalow_gourmet_designs @fatcitymeat was a real treat!

Our last Kitchen space where we found home was our Kitchen in @unioncraftbrewing’s taproom. Wow. What an adventure. From our tour of an empty warehouse where everything was just a dream, to a buildout of a Kitchen, to feeding thousands and thousands of people, to pivoting into an e-commerce marketplace within an empty taproom during Covid, to filling that taproom and beer garden back up again… what an adventure. Truly an amazing adventure we will forever be grateful for.

Thanks to everyone who opened their doors to us along the way and everyone who walked through those doors. We are grateful for you. 🧡

Siobhan was showered with so much love yesterday! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate and those who wished us well from afar.
