I never liked that interview question….”Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”

I never knew. Still don’t fully.

Some people have a five-year plan. I have a daily negotiation between dilly-dallying and making money.

Yesterday I got to do both at my Releaf pop up.

New friends. Old friends. A local food journalist wanting to know my story. And, of course, bread pudding in between.

Full cup. I’m grateful for you 🤍

Back for more: August 23 | 12–4pm

Malted Chocolate Chip bread pudding is in development and I have questions.

Do I toast the malt powder before adding it to the custard or not?

Cake friends, foodies, anyone with an opinion… Tell me what you want (in my Dru Hill voice).

Because this flavor is part of the pudding + chill bundle and I want it to be perfect before it lands on your tastebuds.

Two bread puddings. Taharka Brothers Roasted Strawberry ice cream. A candle.

Pre-orders close tomorrow. Pickup Friday–Sunday.

headphones on. something in the oven. this is my cozy.

people always ask how i stay motivated doing this mostly alone. honestly? i stopped waiting for the perfect conditions. the kitchen is loud, industrial and nothing like what you see on food shows.

but the music is right, the smell is coming, and something good is almost done.

that’s enough.

your cozy doesn’t have to look like anybody else’s 🤍

what does your cozy look like today?

I went to San Antonio and I immersed myself in the flavors, the color, the rhythm of it all.

From Market Square to local shops, I was drawn to bold spices, dried chiles, rich chocolate, and warm Mexican vanilla.

I brought back ingredients and inspiration.

And this spiced chocolate bread pudding is what it became.

From my travel…to your table this Friday!
